If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Playa Flamingo, we've got you covered with MahiMahi Adventure. With an experienced captain at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable guide of these waters.
Top targets include Blue Marlin, Amberjack, Sailfish, Yellowtail Amberjack, Snook, Great Barracuda, and more, depending on the season. For these species, you're likely to bottom fish using light tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to keep their stamina going!
Your trip begins aboard a 26' center console fishing boat with capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. The charter will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with MahiMahi Adventure!
