With Azores Fishing, all breeds of anglers will be able to hone their skills and have a rewarding experience on the water. Explore the beautiful clear waters near the 'Green Island' - São Miguel - and make a great catch possible.
Hop aboard the 'Frontino,' a 26' Rodman sportfishing boat that was overhauled in 2016. She comes powered by twin 125 HP Yamaha engines and has plenty of space for up to 4 anglers. The Frontino is outfitted with top-quality fishing gear and tackle, as well as navigational and fishfinding electronics. Her large deck has ample space for everyone to test their angling skills. Come inside, and you will find a restroom, a kitchen area, and a bed where you could take a nap in between the bites.
On your day out, you will be concentrating on battling whichever species are in season and biting. You will be able to get your hands on Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Mako Shark, Yellowfin and Bluefin Tuna, and White and Blue Marlin.
Take a break from fishing and let the captain take you to a secluded beach or cove, where you will be able to take a swim. On the full-day trips, the crew will offer all kinds of snacks, sweets, home-made and soft bread, fresh fruit, and vegetables to coffee, tea, water, and sodas.

The weather was not on our side. But the Captian and crew went above and beyond to put us on fish and make an excellent trip! I can't wait to come back and fish with them again.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our experience at sea. The crew was great! We caught a barracuda while trolling and some other fishes while bottom fishing. We got to keep the barracuda and we cooked it on one of the multiple public bbq on the island. We recommand this trip to everyone!
The crew were amazing to fish with and spoke good English. Offered snacks and drinks couldn't ask for a better team I want them next time I do this again!
It was a beautiful boat ride with scenic views. It was a long shot this early in the season but you never know until you try. I would suggest going in season for a shot at Big Eye and Bluefin and all the other big game that stop by the Azores. JULY-MID SEPT. We were there and figured we would take a shot at some early season or resident fish but had no luck.

Actually fished on the Galaxia from Ponta Delgada as Frontino skipper was injured! Hard going but managed a nice Bluefish of 6kg. Paulo covered plenty of fish but they just weren't having it unfortunately. Having another go in a few days... fingers crossed for an Amberjack.
