Azores Fishing Experience is your best choice to enjoy some fine angling on the waters of Portugal. You will cruise from the north shore of S. Miguel island with one of the best guides in the area. During your trip with the captain, you will also be able to admire the beautiful coastal scenery of the secluded beaches and coves.
Enjoy your fishing adventure aboard an 18' Argus boat, powered by a 60 Yamaha engine. The vessel has a carrying capacity of 4 anglers and has a maximum cruising speed of 22 knots. It is equipped with navigational electronics, which include a GPS, a VHF radio, and a fishfinder.
The crew offers an exciting adventure on the inshore, nearshore, and offshore waters of this pristine part of the world. You will get an opportunity to target a variety of species, such as Great Barracuda, Amberjack, Skipjack and Albacore Tuna, Little Tunny, Bluefish, Wahoo, Porbeagle Shark, Dentex, Grouper, Bonito, and Almaco Jack among the popular catches.
The captain is very familiar with the methods that work best in the local waters. You will be able to test yourself in light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, and popping. You can choose between four and seven hours on the water. If you travel with your friends and family, you can rent the boat and the captain, bring your favorite fishing equipment, and have the waters all to yourselves.
And if you want to concentrate on butting heads with the fish, then the shared trips are the best choice. You will be provided with Shimano, Penn, and Daiwa fishing gear and tackle to put your catch together. As well as that, the snorkeling equipment will be available for those who want to take a dip in those blue waters.

Half Day – Jigging or Others (AM) on May 19, 2025 • 3 adultsI took my 22 year-old daughter and 18 year-old nephew out in the water at seven in the morning. The water was pretty choppy, but we felt safe in Pedro‘s command. We caught quite a bit of various fish and ended up taking back some grouper for dinner. Pedro clean the fish for us was very informational spoken English well and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. The only advice would be to take some gravel before Because one will be seasick, and we experienced seasickness - Pedro is a very experienced captain and Fisher and it showed throughout our experience

We fished using both trolling and jigging techniques and caught various types of fish (barracudas, triggerfish, snapper, groupers). At the end, Pedro filleted some of the fish for us, and we were able to have them freshly prepared at a restaurant. I think the price-performance ratio for the fishing trip is excellent. We’d be happy to come again.

U nfortunately, I was not able to go on this trip due to an illness in my family. When my 3, 23 year-olds arrived back at our Airbnb they were very excited about the trip and informed me that Pedro was an excellent host. they recommend this to everyone. Thank you Captain Pedro.

Hello, I am Pedro. I'm 42 years old, and I have 27 years of experience as a fisherman. My father had a traditional Azorean fishing boat 'Barco de Boca Aberta' and I started learning with the old fisherman at the age of 15. I worked professionally on fishing until the age of 30. Now we (my sister Patricia and i) started this project of touristic fishing and we are loving it, because we enjoy meeting new people from different countries and cultures.
