This charter is guided by fly fishing expert Captain Ken Tutalo, and is dedicated to fishing the stunning shallow waters of the Tampa Bay. Come discover them for yourself!
Capt. Ken has been working as a full-time fly fishing guide, outfitter, and fly casting instructor for over 20 years. He loves taking new guests out on trips, helping them learn and master the technique of fly fishing, as well as having a great time on the water. He spends November through April fishing the shallow waters of Tampa Bay and offers unparalleled experience in both fly fishing and light spinning tackle trips.
You’ll spend your adventure fishing aboard your captain’s 17’ Cayenne flats boat, which has a capacity for up to 2 guests. This beautiful flats boat is powered by a 60 HP Evinrude engine and contains all the necessary safety features such as life jackets and first-aid equipment. She’s also decked out with GPS, fishfinder, an anchoring system, and an icebox to keep your catch fresh until you return to shore.
Capt. Ken will take you fishing in the beautiful estuary of Tampa Bay, covering its pristine flats, seagrass beds, and mangrove habitats. Your target species will be Redfish, Snook, the mightly "Silver King" (Tarpon), and Speckled Trout. This area is also rich in other species, so you may also come across Cobia, Permit, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, and Red Snapper. It’s a real bonanza!
Each trip includes all the necessary fly fishing and light tackle equipment such as rods, reels, tackle, bait, and a fishing licence for these waters. You will also have snacks and drinks available on board. Come discover how to fish on the fly like a pro with Ken Tutalo’s Fly Fishing Outfitters!

Knows his waters better than anyone Ive ever seen
Captain Tutalo has a deep understanding of the fishes movements and patterns within the maze of mangroves. He also carries a ton of knowledge of the vastly diverse and rich ecosystem contained in mangrove flats. He has a profound wealth of knowledge of all things fly fishing and readily shares/teaches as he guides. One - if not the most memorable fishing trips I have been on. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Great day on the water!
Capt Ken worked hard and put us in the fish. Although we were seasoned fisherman from Minnesota and Colorado, Ken did a great job educating us on how to make tweaks that triggered the fish to bite. Thanks Ken!!! We will be back.
