Whether you're a fly fishing enthusiast or are just getting to grips with the technique, an adventure with Ken Tutalo's Fly Fishing Outfitters will soon have you casting your line on the fly like a pro! This charter is guided by fly fishing expert Captain Ken Tutalo, and is dedicated to fishing the stunning shallow waters of the Tampa Bay. Come discover them for yourself!
Capt. Ken has been working as a full-time fly fishing guide, outfitter, and fly casting instructor for over 20 years. He loves taking new guests out on trips, helping them learn and master the technique of fly fishing, as well as having a great time on the water. He spends November through April fishing the shallow waters of Tampa Bay and offers unparalleled experience in both fly fishing and light spinning tackle trips.
You'll spend your adventure fishing aboard your captain's 17' Cayenne flats boat, which has a capacity for up to 2 guests. This beautiful flats boat is powered by a 60 HP Evinrude engine and contains all the necessary safety features such as life jackets and first-aid equipment. She's also decked out with GPS, fishfinder, an anchoring system, and an icebox to keep your catch fresh until you return to shore.
Capt. Ken will take you fishing in the beautiful estuary of Tampa Bay, covering its pristine flats, seagrass beds, and mangrove habitats. Your target species will be Redfish, Snook, the mightly 'Silver King' (Tarpon), and Speckled Trout. This area is also rich in other species, so you may also come across Cobia, Permit, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, and Red Snapper. It's a real bonanza!

I don’t think we went 5 minutes without a fish. Could not recommend this trip more. The spots were loaded with fish that fight like crazy and opportunities that I’ve never had with other charters. If you’ve never been to the bay or fished in saltwater, there’s not a single trip I recommend more than this.

I own Baxter House Fly Fishing Outfitters and offer destination fly fishing trips in New York State and in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. From November through April I am chartering shallow water fishing trips in the beautiful estuary of Tampa Bay. I am also a regular at the Winter Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Shows. I regularly demonstrate fly tying techniques and gives seminars on topics pertaining to Fly Fishing. I am also a published writer with articles in many major publications. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
