+9Based out of Fajardo, 787 Fishing Trips is your ticket to the Caribbean blue waters of Puerto Rico.
Their experienced crew is here to get you on some fish and to make sure you have a good time in the great outdoors. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, fly fishing, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 2 to 4-hour trips, you can target species like Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, King Mackerel, and Barracuda, depending on the current season, type of trip, and weather conditions.
Your boat for the day will be a 26’ Twin Vee that fits up to 4 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with an ice box. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water, and your captain will supply all the needed fishing licenses for your trip.
You can keep anything you catch as long as it’s within the local regulations. The crew aims to promote sustainable fishing activities and focus on environmentally-friendly practices while meeting the expectations of all levels of anglers.
Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the trip. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated. There will be complimentary drinks aboard for your convenience during the trip, but feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks if you’d like to.

Once in a lifetime family fishing!
Tarpon Sunset Fishing Trip on June 23, 2025
Captain Marcos and his first mate, Carlos, were awesome! They contacted us the day before to adjust the time based on weather conditions. On the boat, they taught our kids what to do with patience and included information about the local ecosystem, what we were fishing, and where we were fishing. We caught multiple tarpon! We did a two hour trip that was perfect for our family of 4 (kids ages 13 and 8). When parking, just tell the person at the gate that you are there for 787 fishing, and they will direct you to visitor parking. Public bathrooms are by the main building/restaurant. I would highly recommend this trip!

Tarpon and Snappers 1 - 2 People on May 21, 2025
Captains Marcos and Carlos were professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Their first question was “What do you want from the trip” and they proceeded to accomplish our goals. Communication prior to the charter was excellent and we left the marina early for the 4-hour morning charter. Fishing. The main goal was tarpon. Within 10 minutes, Captain Marcos put us on 5 strikes and 2 landings. And of course, the “big one” was hooked and fought before fraying the leader. An incredible experience. We also landed several other species while trolling and bottom fishing. Whether a novice or experienced angler, I highly recommend a charter with Captain Marcos and 787 Fishing. 5/5 stars.

Tarpon and Snappers 3 - 4 People PM on April 24, 2025
We asked our son what he wanted to do for his 10th birthday celebration while we visited Fajardo, and he said he wanted to learn how to catch some fish that he could eat. We booked a 4 hr trip with 787 Fishing Trips, and we had a great time. Captain Marcos and Captain Carlos were patient with us, taught us the basics, helped us the entire time, gave us some tips and pointers, and were absolutely amazing. The boat was very clean and we felt very safe. They really knew what they were doing and we could tell they were passionate and knowledgeable about fishing. Hopefully we can do it again one day soon. A perfect day at sea
Tarpon and Snappers 3 - 4 People on March 15, 2025
I took my wife and daughter fishing. Marcos got my 10-year-daughter off to a great start with some smaller catches to keep her engagement. We then got progressively larger in fish. In total, we caught a couple of mackerel, quite a few snapper, a blue runner, and of course a tarpon. All was great. We all contributed to the day’s success. We took a large and a regular snapper with us for lunch. Marcos cleaned them for us and recommended a hidden gem for us to have the fish prepared at. Marcos is truly an expert in the sea, techniques, and local wildlife. It was a joy to learn from him. Lastly, my daughter loved the surprise. I’d recommend this charter to anyone no matter your experience with fishing, presence of kids or any other factor. It’s worth it!

Incredible Morning on the Water
Tarpon and Snappers 1 - 2 People on February 15, 2025
Captain Marcos and his crew are amazing! Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I booked a morning trip for tarpon and snook. The weather in the days leading up to the trip and on the morning of the trip was quite windy but Captain Marcos knew exactly how to adjust the trip and location. We did not land any tarpon but did catch several snapper and other species, including a nurse shark! Captain Marcos cleaned and fileted a snapper for us and recommended a local restaurant, which graciously cooked our catch for lunch. We were also able to fly fish for barracuda towards the end of the morning! We had great conversations throughout the trip and it was fascinating to listen to Captain Marcos pass on his marine biology expertise. This certainly was a highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico and we will absolutely be booking another trip when we return with our kids! I cannot recommend Captain Marcos enough.
