This was hands-down the best activity we booked in Puerto Rico. Captain Marcos was fantastic from start to finish, and the customer service was truly exemplary. He is especially amazing with kids and took great effort to make our 10 year old feel comfortable.

We booked a 2-hour fishing trip with our 10- and 14-year-old sons, and Captain Marcos, along with his mate who assisted us throughout the trip, made the entire experience fun, engaging, and completely stress-free. His mate was incredibly attentive, helping manage the lines, keeping bait on the hooks, and making sure the kids were set up for success at all times.

They both took the time to teach us how to fish specifically for the waters we were in, which made the experience feel authentic and educational. Captain Marcos even added some friendly brotherly competitions, making the trip extra memorable and fun for our boys.

We were amazed by how much we caught, five different types of fish, far beyond our expectations, including sharks! At the end of the trip, Captain Marcos cleaned our fish and shared a taco recipe that we’re excited to make later today, a thoughtful and personal touch that really set this experience apart.

Marcos and his crew are some if the most amazing people we’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with. The trip was both like a visit with family and an amazing and educational fishing experience. Marcos and his team are brillant and kind and help you get the bites you want. This trip made our trip and made us want to never leave PR. We booked our charter through Fishing Booker and had the absolute Best experience of of our lives in Fajardo,PR. From the moment we met our captain we knew we were in great hands! Captain Marcos made sure to go over the rules of the boat and make sure to show us where the life vests and everything else was, but he also made us feel so welcome…almost like family. He was so extremely knowledgeable (because yes, he’s a marine biologist….no lie) he is extremely passionate. Despite his scientific background he’s’ also a true fisherman and at the beginning asked us what kind of fish we were going for. He took the time to talk with us about the different fish species, the impact of different weather conditions, etc…he’s extremely knowledgeable! You can just tell he honestly cares about the environment, fishing and about his customers. This is extremely rare! We will absolutely come back and fish with him every time….and we come at least twice a year! Most amazing captain ever!

Captain Marcos and his first mate, Carlos, were awesome! They contacted us the day before to adjust the time based on weather conditions. On the boat, they taught our kids what to do with patience and included information about the local ecosystem, what we were fishing, and where we were fishing. We caught multiple tarpon! We did a two hour trip that was perfect for our family of 4 (kids ages 13 and 8). When parking, just tell the person at the gate that you are there for 787 fishing, and they will direct you to visitor parking. Public bathrooms are by the main building/restaurant. I would highly recommend this trip!

Captains Marcos and Carlos were professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Their first question was “What do you want from the trip” and they proceeded to accomplish our goals. Communication prior to the charter was excellent and we left the marina early for the 4-hour morning charter. 

Fishing. The main goal was tarpon. Within 10 minutes, Captain Marcos put us on 5 strikes and 2 landings. And of course, the “big one” was hooked and fought before fraying the leader. An incredible experience. We also landed several other species while trolling and bottom fishing.

Whether a novice or experienced angler, I highly recommend a charter with Captain Marcos and 787 Fishing. 5/5 stars.
