Four Winds Chartering

(13) Going fast!
374 Dandy Haven Road
Hampton VA, United States

Four Winds Chartering runs the most fun and exciting fishing adventures in the beautiful city of Hampton, in Virginia. They make each trip enjoyable and a learning experience for their guests, by going straight to the best fishing spots and giving sound advice on how to catch and reel in the fish. This is what they will do with you!

You will target Striped Bass, Spotted Seatrout, the super tasty Flounder, Grey Triggerfish, Black Drum and other exciting species that call these waters home.

You will fish aboard a 42 foot R.F. Green saltwater fishing boat, which is powered by a 225 HP Detroit engine. The boat is safe and reliable, being equipped with all the safety equipment and electronics you need for a successful trip. It has a flybridge and a toilet, which is an absolute must have if you are taking kids out on the water.

The boat is operated by Captain John O’neal who has been fishing these waters from an early age and is familiar with all the productive spots in the area. He will provide you with rods, reels, tackle, lures and a fishing license, so all you have to bring is a positive attitude and sunglasses.

In the words of Captain John: “Quit wishing - let’s go fishing”!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I can’t make big fish bite sorry if you were disappointed it’s called fishing not catching for a reason. I always told you the truth before hand and the day of.  Thanks again for your business.

The captain was nice and friendly.  The first mate was great.  In the 60 years that I have been fishing, this is the worst trip I have ever been on.  I brought eight people on a four hour trip.  I doubt we caught eight ounces of fish.  Captain had no knowledge of what’s biting or where to find them.  The kids had a great time because they had never been fishing before.  This is just a morning boat ride and don’t expect anything else.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m very sorry you feel that way. In the nearly 60 years of the Four Winds operations, that was one of the worse weeks we have ever had. The extreme heat and very warm water temperature affected the catch volume for several days for us and others. We always strive to exceed customer expectations and to ensure that everyone on board has a great time on our charters. We would like for you to give us another opportunity to take a charter with us, have a great time, and do some fishing. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.
