With over 30 years experience fishing the area Captain Tim of Seize The Bay Fishing Charters knows how to make your day on the water exciting, fun, and an adventure you'll remember. And they will do just that. Taking you to the best spots you could imagine, where the fish swim in schools, and where the scallops spend their days in the summer season.
Seize The Bay Fishing Charters is operated by Captain Tim who has many years of experience fishing the Nature Coast. His extensive knowledge and experience will go to work for you to create a memorable excursion of catching fish or collecting scallops ensuring success even on the toughest days.
The fishing will take place aboard an extremely versatile 2023 22' BlueWave center console boat powered by a 200 HP Suzuki. The tunnel hull enables the boat to run in very shallow water to quickly get you to where the fish are, while the modified v-hull maintains a comfortable and dry ride in the chop.The raised console design and fore and aft casting decks provide an elevated platform for multiple anglers for better line of sight and castability.
Your targeted fish species will include Redfish, Cobia, Snook, Tarpon, Black Drum, Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, the mighty Bull and Blacktip Sharks, and the delicious Sheepshead. Scallops are also available when in season, which runs from June to September. You will have snorkeling equipment available for the scalloping trips, and premium fishing gear for all other types of fish you plan to catch.
Capt. Tim offers inshore, nearshore, flats and backcountry fishing and scalloping adventures along Florida's beautiful Nature Coast. Your starting point will be Weeki Wachee. This is a small city located in Hernando County, Florida, and is home to attractions such as the world-famous Weeki Wachee Mermaid Show.

Wonderful trip!

Captain Tim was awesome! from the start, the communication and preparation were outstanding. The weather on the day that we booked ended up not being ideal. Captain Tim advised that we move to the following day.
He gave us easy instructions on what to expect and what to bring. And we just needed to show up!
His boat was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. He went above and beyond for us, taking us to several fishing spots. We had our 3 boys with us, all in elementary school. They were thrilled with all of the time tgat they got to fish, as well as the fish they caught. Funny we were plenty satisfied with our afternoon, and Tim wanted to take us to one last spot. He gave us more of his time than he had to for this. And they caught a bunch of fish.
He was knowledgeable, calm, easy-going, and overall gave us likely their best memory of our trip.
To top it off, he cleaned a few of their fish for us to take. Our kids were so excited to have their catch for dinner that night. Thank you so much!!

Capt Tim is the man!!! Had an awesome day on the water with a great mix of species, like Black Drum, Spotted Trout, Mango Snapper, Sheepshead and Red Fish. Capt Tim clearly knows these waters inside and out. Super knowledgeable and where to go. At one point we had 5 Bald Eagles circling overhead and a River otter came over to check us out and our catch. The topper on the way back was watching the Dolphins feed in a pack and then the followed us riding our wake for quite a while. Left with a bunch of fish and great memories.
We are going back to book with Capt Tim next time we’re in the area.

Captain Tim took us to a few places and then we hit the jackpot of trout! This was a first fishing trip for one of our daughters and she ended up catching the most today. This fishing charter was everything we wanted and more!! We caught snook, redfish and trout. Tim was the best captain!!! So knowledgeable and took us to all the perfect spots! We even had dolphins swim along side of our boat!!! 10/10 would book this charter again and again!!

We had our adventure out this morning and the overall trip experience was fantastic! At first we were all apprehensive because the fish just seemed to not bite but with Tims knowledge he moved us over to a new spot where we caught a sting ray, 2 sharks, grouper, trout, and redfish we were able to take home! Tim is very responsive and works with your party to ensure that all get to participate.
