Fishing Guide Service offers excellent fishing opportunities in central Texas, specializing in catching Hybrid Striper and White Bass. Your trip will be led by Captain Tommy Cochran, a highly knowledgeable local angler who loves nothing more than teaching his tried and true techniques for catching these fish.
Take a trip with Tommy, and you will be fishing from a very spacious 22’ Blue Wave center console, giving you unrestricted views of the lake and plenty of space to fish and maneuver. Fitted with a 150 HP Evinrude E-Tec engine, as well as an anchoring system and an icebox, this boat is set up to provide you a smooth fishing experience, and has been specifically designed to fish these waters.
Fishing for Hybrid Striped Bass and White Bass in Lake Belton is an unforgettable experience, and all the equipment and lures you need for a productive and enjoyable trip are provided. Capt. Tommy will be at hand to help you troll, jig, or spin as you attempt to reel ‘em in.
This picturesque lake is located near Fort Hood and is easily accessible from Austin. Lodging is available in the nearby cities of Belton and Temple.
The peak fishing season is mid-February through May, although fishing can be very good year-round. Whatever the season, you’ll be in for a treat, with Capt. Tommy committed to looking after you and providing you with a great time.

Outstanding experience
From start to finish Captain Tommy did an excellent job. Communication were great, his boat and equipment were top notch and he was lots of fun. He was very patient with a new fisherman we had on board, good sense of humor, and a lot of knowledge about the lake, fish and environment. He really knows the lake and worked very hard to get us on fish โ and he did! We all highly recommend him.

Fishing Trip
We had a wonderful day fishing on Belton Lake.!We received expert instructor on how to catch fish and where to find them. This was our first trip and our guide helped us with everything and we learned so much about fishing. We caught a lot of fish today and had so much fun that we cannot wait to go fishing again!

We killed the fish!!
Tommy was on point, putting us on the fish all morning. We caught so many fish, I honestly lost count. I had been in a dry spell of catching no fish, to killing um today! Tommy gave me hope in fishing again!! Tommyโs the man in our book!! Thanks again for the fun day of catching fish and good company๐

Tommy is the best, you can't go wrong
Took my 13 year old son out to hopefully catch some fish and get him interested in the sport. Beautiful day but extremely windy. The wind limited the areas due to the extreme chop (30mph gusts) but it didn't put a damper on the fishing! Tommy was able to get us consistently hooked up and my son had an absolute blast. We're already planning our next trip and will 100% be fishing with Tommy on our next outing in a month or so.
