Reel Tight Fishing Charters offers you the opportunity to see beautiful Sarasota from a whole new perspective. The Captain is a knowledgeable and professional fisherman, who knows how to put his clients on fish. On a day out with him, you will be able to target a variety of fish and experience a first class service.
Step aboard their 24 ft saltwater fishing boat, powered by a 250 HP SHO Yamaha engine. The vessel has a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots and is rigged with navigational electronics, including a GPS and a fish finder. It is equipped with a wireless trolling motor, an anchoring system, a live bait tank, and an icebox to store the refreshments. The boat can comfortably accommodate up to six anglers.
Each trip with Reel Tight Fishing Charters can be easily customized to your needs and the fish you would like to catch. You can choose how much time you want to spend on the water. There are three packages available: a four-hour trip, a six-hour, and an eight-hour trip. Among your targeted species will be Cobia, King Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Tarpon, Gag, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, and Tripletail. The Captain is also especially great with kids, so a day out with him is fun for all ages.
During the trip of your choosing, you will be provided with the fishing equipment, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, licenses, and live bait. Your catch will be cleaned and filleted for you to take home. The only thing you might want to bring with you is your own food and drinks.

Andy was our boat captain for the morning. He had some excellent spots and didn’t get upset at my fly fishing techniques losing the fish. I’ve never used circle hooks before and lost numerous fish because of my habit of hooking fish, which you can’t do with the style of hooks used. Andy was excellent at coaching me through each cast and reel in. We successfully landed a large red Rish, which was right at the legal limit to keep. It was the only fish we wanted that day. He was also excellent in keeping us entertained with some good life stories and moving spots if they were too slow. And he’s even better at casting for us under docks. It was an amazing inland fishing experience, and I will for sure be back in the future.

Terrific family fishing trip
Three Hour Special on June 2, 2025 • 4 adults
We booked a 3 hour morning inshore fishing trip for us parents and our 2 teenagers. About 1 hour in with Captain Andy, the morning drizzle turned into a steady rain. We had caught several fish and planned to continue until it started to downpour with lightning. Captain Andy got us back to shore safely then we tried to wait out the storm. After checking radar, we decided to postpone it and Andy booked us with Captain Adam the next morning. The weather was perfect and Captain Adam gave us a great fishing experience! We caught a lot of fish, saw a couple manatees and lots of birds. Adam kept bait on our lines so we were constantly fishing. He was knowledgeable and fun. He filleted our keepers at the end so we could have them prepared at a restaurant to eat for lunch.
I have no doubt we would have had a similar experience with Captain Andy too. We had some freshwater fishing experience but would definitely recommend booking a trip with Reel Tight Fishing for anyone who wants a fun trip where you will catch a lot of different fish and learn some things along the way!

Memorable Trip
6 Hour Afternoon Fishing Charter on May 25, 2025 • 4 adults
I want to thank Reel Tight Fishing Charters and especially Captain Luke Bass for making our first ever charter experience a memorable one. This trip was a Christmas present for my 17 and 20 yo sons and my wife. Luke put us on several great spots where we caught 8 Trout and 3 Mangrove Snappers to keep, a nice red drum and tons of snook. We even had some upclose contact with manatee. This exceeded our expectations for Florida Fishing. Thank you Luke for your hard work and great attitude in giving us this experience. Look forward to our next trip.

Captain Andy was Awesome!

Captain Andy had fish on immediately when we first went out. Two teenage boys caught plenty of red snapper, mackerel, catfish! He headed out and the boys hit the deck with net - they caught crabs for bait to try for tarpon. No luck on tarpon. But Andy was determined! We headed back in for some snook, and others, but unfortunately my son got sick so we had to head back in. But I guarantee if he didn’t get sick we would have got plenty more fish! Grilled up snapper and was delicious! Highly recommend!

Great Day on the Water
6 Hour Morning Fishing Charter on March 14, 2025 • 3 adults
We had a great 6-hour fishing trip with Reel Tight. The Captain and Mate were very great to work with, figured out that we knew how to fish and then they put us on the fish. The conditions were a bit tough as we had just come through a full moon, but we had a great day.
The boat and tackle were top quality which made the day good also.
During the day, the Captain tried live bait and also lures which was also great.
We’d highly recommend Reel Tight!
We’re a military family and it was even more special to be out with a Captain that was former active military. That was a plus
