    Montauk Striper Trip 6/3/25

Half Day Trip - Inshore (AM) on June 3, 2025 • 6 adults

A great day targeting stripers. We got on the water early. Capt Mike & Brian are an awesome crew, with tremendous local knowledge. They put us on the meat right away, with many double & triple hookups, and even one quad. We all took home plenty of fish. I highly recommend Charter Boat CUJO.

Awesome Half Day Trip with Captain Mike

Half Day Trip - Inshore (PM) on June 12, 2023 • 2 adults

We had an amazing morning of fishing with Captain Mike and his first mate, Jim. Caught about a dozen Stripers and Blues all over 10 lbs and a couple of big ones 30+ lbs! Mike is super customer friendly...just a great guy; incredibly knowledgeable; has excellent gear and a nice roomy boat. We had a sensational trip! Highly recommend using Mike....you won't be disappointed! Pete S.

Spending time on and around the water has always been an important part of Captain Mike Elling's life. Growing up in Northport, a small fishing village on Long Island, he spent his childhood fishing, clamming and working on boats. This led to a lifelong passion for the outdoors. As he grew up, he worked on many commercial fishing boats, starting out on the old oyster dredge boats that fished out for Northport. After moving to Alaska to fish for Cod and Pollock, he joined the Navy, where he was stationed in Virginia Beach. This gave him the chance to fish the bountiful waters of the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, and South Carolina. When he sustained a serious injury to his leg in the first Gulf War, Captain Mike was honorably discharged from the Navy. After that point, he dedicated his life to charter fishing. Mike has lived and worked in Montauk since 2000, working on commercial and charter fishing boats as well as serving local marinas. Now, he wants to share all this experience with you.
