cant say enough about how great it was to go out with John on this charter. He is a super captain , capable, knowledgeable, experienced, and he clearly loves to fish. He works hard to find and catch fish, is a great teacher and sharess his knowledge generously. He is a great guy, clearly likes people and is perfect in hiscroke as caotain, guide and fishing buddy. Captain Jon was amazing. My son and I had an magnificent trip. He did everything to accommodate. We were on the fish all day. He's an absolute gentleman. I would highly recommend Captain john for your next charter you won't regret it.

this was my first time fishing in Montauk. What a great trip. Captain made everything easy and was the most awesome host highly recommend to anyone.

we had blast caught a-lot off fish john and kelly treated us like family, they are very kind and very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about how to catch different species and what to use and how to use each set up! wherever john and kelly put the boat we were hooked on to something or the excitement bites, no matter what there was always action! also for my self that never hooked on to a striped bass or even caught one , i caught my first ever striped bass!! i can say i booked this trip for the action and that was highly achieved! along with just catching fish flule , blues , porgies , stripers and much more! Thank you i look forward to booking another trip soon 😊

John and Kelly were the best team I’ve fished with—and I’ve done a ton of charter fishing. Very responsive by phone too. After booking, John reached out and suggested we move from am to pm to catch the incoming high tide, and we were so glad we did. We were on fish from the first drift to the last. Lots of double and triple hook-ups. Landed several giant cow striped bass, fluke, sea bass, bluefish, and porgies. John and Kelly were very helpful and patient in teaching fishing technique to my wife and her parents, who had never fished Montauk before, and they all landed 40-inch-plus striped bass. Bathroom on-board, very family friendly, and great for first timers and experienced anglers alike!

Our four teenagers went on this trip and they had a fantastic time. They were very excited to catch a stripe bass very close to taking off in the boat. They were also excited about the entire experience of casting, reeling, taking the hook out and either throwing the fish back in the water or the bucket on the boat to take home. There was plenty of different types of fish caught. Best part for me was John and Kelly filleted the fish expertly. John and Kelly were knowledgeable and were great hosts. Would differently go back with them.

This was our second time fishing with John and Kelly. Again we got into the fish right away. We caught fish consistently for the first 2 hours, and then the tide changed so it slowed a little bit. But the John w d Kelly worked hard to keep us catching, which we did. I recommend booking a trip with John and Kelly.

John and Kelly make a wonderful team managing the boat to ensure you have a great experience. Everything was impeccable, from safety (they actually have an emergency raft) to the bait (it didn’t smell and was perfectly cut and ready). Great team!
