With Old Mission Peninsula to the east, Leelanau Peninsula to the west, and downtown Traverse City to the south, you’ll enjoy a safe fishing experience in these calm, protected waters. With plenty of structure, Traverse City waters attract a variety of baitfish, making them ideal for larger predators.
Traverse City is rich in Lake Trout, Steelhead, Brown Trout, King Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Cisco year-round; you just have to choose your target species. Depending on the season, you can focus on a particular species, but catching multiple species on one trip is also common.
You’ll be provided with the best equipment possible, from Shimano rods and reels to Big Weenie and Warrior lures. You’ll just need to get a valid fishing license before the trip, and you’re also welcome to bring your own coolers for drinks.
