Blue Pearl II offers family-friendly fishing trips out of Quepos, Costa Rica. The Captain and the crew are very familiar with the methods that work best to catch the fish. On your day out, they will take you fishing the hottest grounds, so get ready – your adventure can result in many outstanding catches!
Enjoy your fishing trip aboard 'Blue Pearl II', a 32-foot Hatteras boat, which comes powered by twin 350 HP Cummins engines. It has a maximum cruising speed of 24 knots and provides comfortable fishing space for up to six anglers. Its navigational electronics include a GPS, a VHF radio, and a fish finder. An ice-box is fitted on board to keep the catch fresh during the day, as well as Tuna tubes, a live bait tank, a fighting chair for the most passionate fishermen, and outriggers for a professional fishing experience. Inside, there is a toilet, a shower, and a bed for your maximum comfort when relaxing in between the bites.
On your day out with Blue Pearl II, you will be fishing inshore or offshore, depending on your personal preferences. The crew use various methods to land the fish, including light and heavy tackle, trolling, and spinning. Your targeted species will include Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Snook, Wahoo, Amberjack, Milkfish, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Sailfish… and the list keeps going!
A trip with Blue Pearl II comes inclusive with snorkeling equipment if you want to take a dip in those waters, as well as all the gear you need to make a successful catch possible.
You will be provided with rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait, along with the cleaning and filleting service of whatever you want to keep. The crew usually provides bait before the trip, but when that's not possible they'll go after it at the start of the trip. Any time spent searching for bait is not counted in the total trip time. The crew will also offer food and drinks during the trip.
Kids under the age of 10 go fishing for free!

I've been a few time to Quepos, but this was the best fishing trip I've ever had ! The time was amazing, and I had the chance to fish on the just renovated boat of Blue Pearl. The boat is brand new, with fresh paint and new equipment. It was really fast, and I got two sailfish and one mahi mahi. The crew was so nice and the boat comfortable. I recommend them !
Our family vacation in Costa Rica highlight: The Blue Pearl II fishing expedition for half a day. Right off the bat the littlest among us caught the biggest fish! 11 year old Allyson hooked a trophy size sailfish and landed it with a little help from her Dad and 14 year old sister. What a trophy photo that made. She wanted the fish to go back to the sea. We also caught bonito and a mackeral and enjoyed the entire trip. Thanks to a great captain and mate and to all the organizers who operate this company flawlessly. Good job.

We had a wonderful 3/4 day offshore trip with the Blue Pearl II team. Sissi and Martin coordinated the logistics and ensured things were effortless on our end. Johnny and Marvin made for a dynamic crew that worked tirelessly to provide an excellent day on the water. Our family had little in the way of deep sea experience, so we appreciated the patience exhibited by the crew in keeping us educated and engaged. That said, it was evident that the operation was sufficiently sophisticated to please fishers of any level. The crew's persistence allowed us to reel in a couple of nice Mahi Mahi despite a fairly quiet day on the water. Thanks to the Blue Pearl team for unforgettable day in Costa Rica!

We got picked up by the blue pearl at our hotel went to the marina boarded the boat and set off to fish. As soon as we got to the spot four fish on just crazy. We caught fish after fish. After our tenth 40# mahi I quit counting. Then hooked into two marlins one got off after an hour of fighting I landed the other 350# marlin the crew was popping my beer open for me during the fight, awesome. Over areat experience would definitely recommend. Bring extra cash because I didn't know a 20% tip is the norm for the crew. You should catch fish with this boat and crew.
