The Bite Me 5, formaly know as the Kila, your top choice for sport fishing in Hawaii! Fishing out of Honokahau Harbor, this boat is enviably close to 'Grander Alley,' the number one fishing destination on the whole of the Kona Coast.
The Bite Me 5 is a stunning 53' Merritt vessel that rides the waves with ease thanks to her twin 500 HP Cummins engines. She is fitted with everything you could ask for when deep sea fishing in Hawaii, including a tuna tower.
The huge deck comes complete with a beautifully-finished fighting chair and plenty of space for six people plus the crew. Inside, she's equally luxurious. She features 3 AC sytems, two staterooms with 2 full private restrooms, a full galley kitchen and a spacious couch area, . As if that wasn't enough, the boat is finished with beautiful Koa wood throughout.
Not only are the Bite Me 5's features outstanding, she also boasts an impressive history. The largest Bluefin Tuna ever caught in the Bahamas was boated aboard this vessel, which also has numerous significant Hawaii tournaments and several world record game fish to her name.

Nicest charter boat I have ever been on. Nice mahi, spearfish and a double blue marlin catch. Spectacular day on America’s best fishery with an experienced captain and professional crew. I will wait in line to fish with them again. Doubtful you will find a better kept charter boat.

When booking a particular boat We requested a boat for 8-9 people with no more than 7 fishing We show up before sailing and were informed that only 6 people on the boat period! Office was called with no response

Bite Me Sportfishing is the largest sportfishing charter company in Hawaii. Their captains have been fishing the Kona coastline for most of their lives and will do everything in their power to put you on fish. The team includes Hawaii's only female captain, Deneen Wargo, who is also the only female angler to participate in the Hawaiin International Billfish tournament (and she came very close to winning it, too)! Deneen is married to Brian Wargo, the owner of Bite Me Sportfishing. Brian has done everything, from tackling down a shark to save a life to winning a Carnegie award and medal. He has even been on the cover of Reader's Digest! An amazing fisherman, he is a really good guy with a big heart, who takes care of his employees. The Bite Me team is made up of 30 people, from captains and crew to operations managers. They consider themselves to be one big family, and every team member goes out of their way on a daily basis to ensure every customer has a memorable experience.
