Stray Cat Charters invites you to experience a true Galvestonian fishing experience with Captain Jerry Praker. Jerry has fished the waters of Galveston, Texas his whole life, and comes from a family of commercial fishermen who have been operating here since the 1920’s. This fishing-rich heritage means your captain has learned from the best and is able to provide unforgettable experiences for everyone on board.

The 30’ Chris Craft Flybridge was originally built in 1977 and restored in 2017 to update all its features and provide its guests an even better fishing experience. The vessel is very comfortable with a bed, a kitchen, a toilet, air-conditioning inside the cabin, a multimedia system for entertainment, and plenty of other features. You will use the livewell to store the bait, the icebox to keep the catch fresh, and the flybridge to sight the fish.

Captain Jerry can take you fishing inshore or nearshore, depending on the trip option you choose for your party. The half day trip in the jetties are reserved for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum. The Shark trips (these are catch and release only, this included stingrays) will let you target Bull Shark, Blacktip, Hammerhead, and others. Lastly, if offshore fishing is your dream, you’ll be pleased to know that Kingfish, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Skate, and other species live in these waters.

Stray Cat Charters carries Shimano and Penn rods and reels, a selection of live and artificial bait, and a variety of tackle, and they have a first mate present on all trips. If you wish to keep some fish for dinner, they can clean and fillet your catch. All you should bring are your sunscreen and a choice of snacks and drinks. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on the boat due to safety reasons.

Now, simply set aside a date, get your group together and join Stray Cat Charters Galveston for your next angling adventure!
