Captain Ryan operates a 24' Dargel flats boat which was restored in 2025 with a capacity for four guests. Powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 55 knots this vessel is fast and reliable. It has an onboard GPS that allows you to locate fish in deeper water, and two sighting towers located at the bow and stern ideal for spotting tailing fish in clear shallow water.

Took my wife on her first trip and the captain made sure to make it a great one. On our first cast we landed a 24” trout and made sure to have everything prepared for my wife and I when we needed it.

This was our 2nd time booking a half day trip with Captain Ryan almost 1 year later, and of course he didn't disappoint! My wife, two sons, and I caught over 30 fish together. 19 of which were keeper trout and 1 flounder. Captain Ryan is super friendly and knows the area very well! He was so helpful with fishing tips and baiting my family's lines! It was an all-around WIN, and I highly recommend Captain Ryan!

Although I use a variety of techniques, I prefer site fishing in the clear water and poling my clients up to tailing Reds. The Laguna Madre is a great location for fly fishing. We also use live bait for children and beginners. It's always great to see my clients catch their first fish! Fishing is something that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated!
