Rocky Point Fishing Club operates out of Puerto Peñasco offering first class fishing experiences targeting reef and offshore favorites such as Grouper, Seabass, and Yellowtail. Located in the heart of the Gulf of California, Puerto Peñasco is a paradise of white sandy beaches, clear blue seas, and warm, sunny days. The area enjoys unbeatable access to the famous fishing waters of the gulf, known across the continent for their great variety and quality of fish.
Your trip will be spent aboard a 38' Bayliner motor yacht that accommodates up to 16 guests. The vessel comes equipped with everything you will need on your trip, including GPS and fishfinder to make sure you are fishing in the best spots around, high quality tackle to help bring in your catch once you're on it, and an ice box to keep it fresh when you have reeled it in. The vessel also boasts a spacious interior with a head, galley, and plenty of room to rest after hard-fought battles up on deck. This charter is also pet friendly!
During shorter trips, the most common catches are Triggerfish and California Corbina, while full day trips offer Grouper, Snapper, and Yellowtail. You will be given a choice of light and heavy tackle, and live bait or lures, and will focus on jigging and bottom fishing to best target these awesome fish. Note that the number of guests on a full day trip is limited to 8, so everybody can fish comfortably at the same time.

Great experience with Rocky Point Fishing Club! Check-in and final payment were easy and we had no issues finding street parking nearby. It was an awesome day on the water. The boat was comfortable and the bathroom inside was a huge plus. Four people felt just right for this size boat in the summer since the front deck is not shaded. We had space to move and reel in without feeling cramped or on top of each other, even with 1-2 crew members on the back with us. The crew was super nice and we had a wonderful time! Will definitely consider booking again for our next full-day trip.
This was the 3rd time we have fished with Ivan's crew on the Wanderlust. Carlos and Chino were great. They put us on fish, and we had a super time and came home with a cooler of fish. This is the perfect trip for adults who want to catch fish to bring home and just have a good time. Not really for young kids as it takes a while to get there and can be a little slow between fish.
Again Ivan has put together a top notch crew. Carlos and Chino put us on triggerfish and filled a cooler while in the company of other boats who we saw were not as successful as we were. Great time
we came to fish in Rocky Point, and Captain El Capitan and his assistant did an excellent job finding the right spots. We caught plenty of fish and had a great experience. Highly recommended!
Best fishing trip ever! We caught fish after fish every time we stopped. We were so sore the day after from reeling so many in! Great crew! The crew was on it and constantly helped us bait the rods and get fish off. All of the fish were filleted and packaged by the time we got back to the marina. We even saw whales!
