Paradise Sportfishing Adventures
Explore the pristine waters off the coast of Queensland and have a fishing adventure with Paradise Sportfishing Adventures! Captain John specializes in calm-water fishing excursions throughout the productive Cairns Trinity Inlet.
You'll join him on his 25' custom-built estuary boat, propelled by a 130 HP Honda four-stroke outboard engine. The boat can accommodate up to 8 anglers per trip, so it's great for some fun with a group of friends. It also sports a full cover shade top and a toilet. You'll be able to cover the Inlet in both speed and comfort.
All trips include quality fishing gear and bait. You'll use Shimano Raider rods and Spinning Reels. There's a large cooler on board with plenty of ice and you can bring drinks and snacks. Should you catch a legal-size fish, it can be cleaned and iced on board. There is an excellent restaurant at the marina that can cook your fish for lunch or dinner.
Each trip begins with the collection of live baits using a cast net. This is a very interesting part of the charter, especially if you have not seen a cast net in use. Specific bait varies depending on the season, with Sardines and Herring being the most effective and easiest to catch.
After securing the bait, it's time to move up the Trinity Inlet, where depending on the season you'll be going up against the likes of the famous Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Queenfish, Salmon, and Fingermark. The day is typically split in two, with an early morning charter aimed at the early risers, and an afternoon trip for those that like to sleep in.
Join Paradise Sportfishing Adventures and have an unforgettable time under the Australian sun!

Great to be fishing in sheltered waters while still having a chance to catch some good fish. The skipper worked hard to ensure everyone had the best chance for a catch. I ended up with a good size Queenfish as well as a GT. A really good day and great value.
Booked the afternoon session with 6 friends, our captain Byrne ( not sure of spelling) was a great host, funny, helpful, knew the area, had some great stories, and had some feathered friends who knew his vessel which added to the experience, caught a few small fish and some that took out lines that put up a huge fight (must have been huge!!) esky with ice onboard because what’s fishing without beer right!!
Had a great day, skipper catching bait, having great banter with him and the rest of the group. Beautiful weather . Fingermark snapper caught a few times.I wouldhighly recommend this down to earth, chilled fishing trip. take a few beers and relax.
even though we didnt catch fish personally, it was still a great arvo on the water. the group on the boat witb my partner and myself were a.good bunch and the captain was friendly and joined in the banter
We had an amazing half-day fishing trip in Cairns! Bernd was fantastic, the boat was clean and comfortable, and we caught some great fish including cod, fingermark, and a queenfish. Everything was well-organized from start to finish, and we will definitely book again when we are back in Cairns! Thank you
