Perfect half day fishing trip with the fantastic captain John! captain John is just a great guy with lots of experience and knolledge and also he is a lot of fun with entertaining stories and tricks up his sleeve. We caught a lot of fish species on this charter, Capt Burn did great catching live bait, which definitely helped with catching fish throughout the day. But if you like to actively fish, cast with bait and lures, this is not the charter for you. The poles are baited with a sinker, casted out by the captain, and you just sit and wait until you get a bite. captain went out before out charter started and picked up a ton of live prawns which was what i caught my first ever barra on was stoked to catch one. we had a great mixed bag on the boat today, Grunters, black tip reef shark, catfish, baby jew fish, barramundi, and baby GT.

Thanks for getting us in last minute when it didn’t work out with another boat. For the short time frame, our Skipper showed us a great time, grabbing the live bait with the adorable local bird whose always there to take the bait tax, and taking us to some fab spots. The Skipper was knowledgeable and a quintessential Cairns Aussie which made the experience that much better. He really knew the area. Thanks so much
