Triple D Charter offers quality inshore and Backcountry trips on the pristine flats of Islamorada, Florida. Captain Aaron 'Nick' Dykes is a stand-up captain who likes to take his guests to the most advantageous spots and make their fishing dreams come true. His skill and knowledge are extraordinary and he is great with kids! You couldn't really ask for more!
Fishing is done aboard a 24' South Shore center console, originally built in 2016 with a capacity for 4 guests. Powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine, this vessel is perfect to access the shallow flats and take open deep bay crossings. The GPS and fishfinder are used to locate the most productive spots, and the super shallow ones are accessed using the wireless trolling motor.
Triple D provides spinning rods, reels, live bait and lures for a successful day out on the water.
The captain will clean, fillet, and bag you catch. He says kids within age are permitted on the trips, but please specify when booking to ensure the correct size of life vest is prepared in advance, or you can bring your own for children under 6.

My wife and I went out the Capt. Aaron for a 6 hour trip and the action was pretty consistent throughout the day though we did not run into many keepers. We hit the bridges, mangroves, and patch reefs where we caught a variety of different species including a few larger lookdown/moon fish that were surprisingly delicious after we had them fried up at Lazy Days when we left the marina. My wife also hooked into a permit that unfortunately broke off a few mintues into the fight but definitely added some excitement for the day. Overall, we had a great day on the water and I cannot recommend Aaron enough!
My Son and I had a great day on the water with Captain Nick. The boat was great as was the gear, tackle, and rigging. Captain Mick new the the well and was very informative, which I very much appreciated. We had action at every spot and brought good fish on the boat, Mutton, Mangrove, and jack crevalle just to name a few. Id recommend Triple D Charters to anyone looking to both catch fish on a nice boat with a comfortable ride all while learning about the area from a very personable Captain. Thank you again Captain Nick, Logan and I had a blast!
i couldnt say enough good about our trip. captain put us on some nice snapper that we took home for lunch, landed a nice permit and lost another at the boat, and caught barricuda! would absolutely book with aaron again. aside from an excellent captain, he also was a great guy and great to chat with. five star experience.
Tides were dragging us all day but he knew all the spots to beat the odds. Came up with a 30+ inch snook, several 25+ inch barracuda, and many small fish (lizardfish, grunt, small cudas). Also helped my brother catch his first fish. Fun guy to chat with and knows a lot. Looking forward to coming back spring break!
we started out in the morning, going grocery shopping for snapper. later we caught a really nice grouper and missed another one. overall really nice day targeting where the bite was. Aaronreally knows what he’s doing. I recommend him to anybody looking to catch whats biting around islamorada and key largo
