Triple D Charter offers quality inshore and Backcountry trips on the pristine flats of Islamorada, Florida. Captain Aaron 'Nick' Dykes is a stand-up captain who likes to take his guests to the most advantageous spots and make their fishing dreams come true. His skill and knowledge are extraordinary and he is great with kids! You couldn't really ask for more!

Fishing is done aboard a 24' South Shore center console, originally built in 2016 with a capacity for 4 guests. Powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine, this vessel is perfect to access the shallow flats and take open deep bay crossings. The GPS and fishfinder are used to locate the most productive spots, and the super shallow ones are accessed using the wireless trolling motor.

Triple D provides spinning rods, reels, live bait and lures for a successful day out on the water.

The captain will clean, fillet, and bag you catch. He says kids within age are permitted on the trips, but please specify when booking to ensure the correct size of life vest is prepared in advance, or you can bring your own for children under 6.

A Beautiful Day in Islamorada

My wife and I went out the Capt. Aaron for a 6 hour trip and the action was pretty consistent throughout the day though we did not run into many keepers. We hit the bridges, mangroves, and patch reefs where we caught a variety of different species including a few larger lookdown/moon 
fish that were surprisingly delicious after we had them fried up at Lazy Days when we left the marina. My wife also hooked into a permit that unfortunately broke off a few mintues into the fight but definitely added some excitement for the day. Overall, we had a great day on the water and I cannot recommend Aaron enough!

Aaron tried his best to put us on spots for Grouper, Mangrove Reds and Tarpon.

Grouper beat us, Mangrove Reds bit - just not big enough, Tarpon sightings but sharks were faster to the bait.

Aaron looped back for a second try for grouper, but tide and winds were just not our friends tidsy.

One recommendation I would have is to understand tide and be flexible to alter the start time of your trip to maximize your chances.

While we did not come home with dinner in the cooler is was a gorgeous day out on the water.

Great Adventure!

The fish weren't cooperating, but Nick worked his butt off and burned a lot of fuel to make sure I got a couple of barracudas in the boat before we came in. I also caught a couple of sharks and we hooked into a feisty permit that eventually broke off.

Great Day. Great Captain!

Meet up with the Captain  (Aaron Dykes). 15 minutes later we were on the fish. Wife wanted a " pink one". And she got one. She caught a Hogfish. I Hooked up on two awesome  Permit- landed one. 15 lb +/- . Finished up trying for Tarpon.  Caught a Bonnethead. It was a great day on the water. Captain diffently knowledgeable. Will definitely book again if I get back down here

Great trip out on the water!!!

We did a 4 hr trip and had a blast. We caught snapper, grunt, a nurse shark, and had a barracuda on for a second. Aaron was great and went above and beyond to assure we had a good trip.  Will be back!!!
