Captain Johnny Riggs was born and raised fishing the waters around Pine Island, Charlotte Harbor, and Punta Gorda. He is an expert at finding all the local fish species and has that extra degree of knowledge that only people who have seen the fishery for many seasons can give. Most importantly, he is a friendly and welcoming guy who enjoys nothing more than making sure everyone on his boat is getting the most out of their trip.
Whether you decide to go on a fishing trip, sunset cruise, or restaurant hopping adventure, you will be based aboard Capt. Johnny’s 24’ Proline center console. This stable boat gives a nice dry ride and has plenty of room for 4 guests.
Very versatile, it is just as well-suited to rooting out Redfish in the backcountry as it is to chasing Cobia nearshore. It also has a very handy tower that will give you the edge for one of the area’s most enjoyable fishing techniques – sight fishing along the beaches for migrating fish.
Whether you want to the local backcountry and fish with bait or artificials for the likes of Snook, Trout, and Redfish, hunt out an enormous Goliath Grouper in shallow water, target a toothy Bull Shark, or “bow to the king” and hang onto your rod as a giant Tarpon leaps out of the water in front of you, Capt. Johnny has the answer.
All fishing trips include professional fishing gear, lures, and bait. Please note that the boat is most comfortable for 4 people to fish from and that larger groups may need to take the fishing in turns.
All you have to do now is book a trip with Capt. Johnny Riggs, and you’re all set for a great fishing experience in Florida!
