Captain Nick Halenkamp will be your guide and instructor on this journey. Join him aboard his 22’ Aguasport boat, that can hold you and three of your fishing buddies. A live bait well is ready for use on board, so don’t worry about your bait getting floppy. An advanced navigation and fish-finding system will help you find your catch quickly and easily.
You can choose to target a particular species, or several, consult with the captain about what’s best for you. The species you can target are the Cobia, Sheepshead, Tripletail, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Bonnethead Shark, Spotted Seatrout, the majestic Tarpon, Redfish, and others you may run into! Captain Nick loves getting to know his customers and to talk them through any fishing technique they try.
As for live bait, you can expect to use Shrimp, Greenbacks, or Whitebait, the captain will catch and prepare everything before you arrive.
You can expect to take a break if you’re fishing for the whole day to grab some lunch at the marina, or bring your own to stay on the water as much as possible!
The captain will supply you with all the required equipment. Customers are advised to bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and proper clothing coverage.

6 Hour Trip – Tarpon Fishing
Trip with Captain Nick.
We took grandson and friend on a tarpon fish trip. We were to start at 6:30 but suggested starting at 6:00 to do to it being a short season and a lot of boats would be out. As you may or may not know tarpon is a skittish fish so after an hour and a half so many boats came in that he said there was no point in stay but he would if we wanted to. So my grandson said we can go fish for other fish. So we did we went too a lot of different spots and they caught a lot of different fish. We were not disappointed and for us 6 hours was just right. Thank you Captain Nick for a great trip.

Lots of variety, great experience!
Captain Nick took my girlfriend and I to a handful of different locations. We started the morning with some tarpon fishing, followed by some deep sea angling. We caught several species including grouper, ladyfish, and trout. To wrap up our experience, we went more inshore and scored two 30 inch snook, a couple redfish, and a load of jacks! Captain Nick was experienced and very knowledgeable--he made this a great experience for us!

Epic!
Amazing trip! We lucked out when we found Captain Nick 3 years ago on a trip to Tampa. We took our 2 little boys and the fishing and the way he was with the boys inspired us to book a 2nd trip that week. Since, Captain Nick has become somewhat of a house hold name as our boys are obsessed with fishing and their time with Captain Nick was the best fishing. Soo fast forward to this year we could not think of a better Christmas gift for the boys then a trip to Florida just to fish with Captain Nick! He kept us on the fish even in the cold weather and handled a barrage of fishing questions from they boys. We have been on other charters in other areas, but none hold a candle to the fish and expierence we have receive with Tide Flies and The EPIC Captain Nick! Thank you for everything!

Best fishing ever!
This was my first time fishing and right away caught a HUGE flounder fish! My husband caught a bit snook and grouper. We saw tons of wildlife. Capitan Nick took us the perfect spots. He was so patient and really cool to hang with. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!

6 Hour Trip – Tarpon Fishing
Great Captain and smooth ride
Captain Nick worked his butt off to put me on tarpon which was my choice target. We saw several but couldn’t get them to go. The weather was iffy at best but he worked very hard to make sure I had a good day. We holed up under a bridge to let a pop up storm pass and caught several trout, a catfish and redfish while waiting. I will definitely call Nick if I’m able to get back to Clearwater in the future. I have had some recent health issues and he was understanding and worked within my limitations. Very enjoyable trip.
