A rabbit out of his hat. :)
4 Hour Trip (AM) - 8:00 AM on February 2, 20263 adults

We planned an early February trip to get some sun and sneak in some fishing. Mother nature had other plans. It was freezing, Lizards falling from the trees cold. Tyler at our request rescheduled our early morning trip to make the most of the midday sun. Talking with some other anglers at our hotel who were hopping for the fun we had planned, we were told other captains came up empty for their trips. Our charter captain Tyler was honest and straight forward. He said not a lot was biting but if we were game, he would find us some action. And find some action he did. Not the normal places we expected to fish but we were throwing the small ones back an hour in. We caught more than our share of fish throwing a ton back. We finished our day a restaurant Tyler recommended with some awesome fresh eats. Two thumbs up.

Captian Jake was great, made sure everyone on board caught fish and enjoyed the trip. Captain Jake filleted our fish ready to grill. This was our second year with Captain Jake! Will be back next year!! My 7 year old grandson had the best time. Coastal Chaos is the best experience fir all members of the family.

Capt. Jake was AWESOME!!!
2 hour trip (PM) on August 5, 20254 adults

On fish immediately and the whole 2 hr. trip. My family are not very seasoned fishers, 51, 49, 14 and 17. Jake was so good working with everyone and always ready to help with bait, tangles, and release. Shouldn’t go unnoticed is the awesome tune selection setting a great and laid-back vibe. We’ll be back and strongly recommend Capt. Jake.

Captain Jake Derado is a Full-time guide, and a 3rd generation fisherman who comes from a 'fishy' bloodline! He's a U.S. Coast Guard certified Captain with plenty of experience in the Clearwater/Tampa Bay area. He knows the history of the area and is happy to share many stories with you along the way! Jake has been fishing the local waters since he was old enough to walk and had multiple family members who shared their passion of fishing and guided him along the way. As a kid Jake used to ride his bike over 20 miles a day hunting down the best fishing spots, until he was old enough to drive, but it didn't stop there! He purchased his first boat at the age of 16 and made extra money by selling bait to the local bait shops to pay for fishing trips with friends. After graduating high school and for the next 4 years, he found himself working on multiple fishing boats as a reputable first mate. Once the prerequisites were met, he went to 'Sea school' to earn his Merchant Mariner Credentials (Captains License). Immediately following, Jake was offered a position with Coastal Chaos. Needless to say, he fit right in! For about 2 years he ran trips and built a stellar reputation and clientele for himself along with countless great reviews. He is living his long term dream as he is now the Owner/CEO of Coastal Chaos. All in all, Jake is a very fun, enthusiastic and serious Captain who FLAT OUT LOVES TO FISH!
