Double Down Charters invites you to fish like the locals out of Keyport, New Jersey. Operating in the Raritan Bay, New Jersey's near-coastal waters, and New York Harbor, this is your key to a successful trip.
The 'Double Down' is a spacious 28' Parker with twin 300 HP Yamaha outboards that will power you to the hottest fishing grounds. Double Down comes equipped with all you could possibly need for an action-packed day on the water including a spacious deck and enclosed head plus enclosed cabin with air conditioning.
The vessel has quick access to the outstanding Striped Bass fishing that is just minutes from the dock. Aboard the Double Down, trolling for Striped Bass is as productive as it is exciting. Once your captain locates the schools, it's non-stop action. Otherwise, escape with your family and friends and test the waters for Fluke, Bluefish, and who knows what else. The season kicks off in mid-Spring and goes through mid-Fall, so don't miss it!
And if you want to have it all, try fishing for the 'Jersey's mixed bag,' which includes Seabass, Porgy, Bluefish, Weakfish, Blackfish, Cod, Lingcod, and Flounder. Check what's patrolling the waters around structures in the bay, close to the shore's wrecks, and at the Sandy Hook Reef.
All trips come with quality gear, tackle, lures, bait, and fish cleaning and filleting service. Your captain will also offer drinks and snacks, but you can feel free to bring your own.

My family was celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, and had a great day on our 6 hour excursion with Captain Dan. Both he and his first mate were very accomodating, adjusting the start time and trying several spots to ensure we caught something. It was so nice to have the boat to ourselves, and both staff did all they could to make the day special and perfect.

We had a great trip with Captain Dan on the Double Down 2 yesterday. They were prepared at the dock and ready to go when we arrived at 5:45 for the 6am charter. Dan and his first mate where very outgoing and we had a great time exchanging stories while we trolled out into the bay, they had us on fish within 30 minutes and the bite went on all morning. We came hone with 4 stripers averaging 30 inches. Plus a number of larger bluefish that gave us a great fight as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the Double Down 2 and looking forward to getting back out there with them soon! I Highly recommend this charter!
If you’re looking to book a fishing trip look no further. With this great crew filled with expertise you are going to catch fish and have a great time. I’d recommend to anyone you fish these guys
