Careyon Charters 

We set out on a beautiful August morning. Landon took us out to about 55 ft of water where we dropped down and caught four groupers a red snapper, some sea bass and a grunt. It was the wrong season to keep three of the groupers and red snapper. The wind started picking up making it difficult to stay on point so we made our way back into the harbor. There we trolled and caught a whole bunch of bunch of Spanish mackerel and a baby shark! What a great experience. My 12-year-old grandson will never forget it.

Enjoyed a good inshore trip w/Capt. Landon. Unfortunately, the weather dictated more of our trip than we would have liked; but, Capt. Landon made the best of it for us and put us on the fish. Good conversation and high service kept us having fun the full time even when the lines weren’t tight. Highly recommend Careyon for a great experience on the water.

Captain Danny was great to work with! Contacted us ahead of time because we weren’t sure the weather would cooperate to go further offshore. He offered another date but unfortunately it wasn’t going to work with our vacation schedule. It ended up working out to go out as planned even though the water was a bit choppy. He got the group on some great Black Sea bass which was our trip goal. The guys even saw a few dolphin and a sea turtle! In total, the guys caught 17 fish and we had an amazing fish fry back at our rental for dinner that same night! Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Had a great time fishing with Capt. Carey on 6/28/24. He texted us with meeting location multiple days ahead of the trip and was able to work with our schedule for a later start time. We ran about 35 miles offshore, started with some trolling for King, but nothing was biting. After an hour of trolling, we switched to bottom fishing. Some of the best bottom action I had this year. Capt. Carey put us right on the fish and was super kind and helpful with my friend whom has not fished for 10 years. Caught a lot of keepers for dinner and a lot of big red snappers that we released. Definitely recommend him if you are in Myrtle Beach. Looking forward to going back later this year to fish with him again.

Our morning started with deceptively calm seas and a gentle breeze in town, when we we met pretty rough water 25-35 miles offshore. Captain Dan let us the conditions were going to be challenging, but we would try a variety of fishing techniques to get on some fish. True to his word he switch from trolling to bottom fishing and the action started immediately. My teenage boys started catching a variety of fish with some keepers, and I hooked into a couple of nice amberjacks that we brought home for dinner. We decided collectively to cut our day a little short as the swell continued to build, and we were all ready to give our legs a rest. Captain Dan was great through it all. We all had a great time. I loved catching fish, but equally enjoyed listening to and telling stories with Captain Dan on the trip back in to town. Highly recommend booking with Careyon Charters.

We all had a great experience for first time goers on the ocean fishing. Our captain Dan was awesome, he was so patient and made sure all of us were all ok constantly. Even though we had 3 of us get sea sick he spent time bringing us back closer to land to get us back to feeling better. Then we went back out farther into the ocean to see if would be ok for the second time around. We went over our 5 hr time limit because he wanted us to get the best experience ever. My husband and son are all ready to come back and go out again in the future. They loved it… us girls it was a great experience but we will pry just all stick to the boat rides in the ocean instead of being stationary in the water and letting the waves get to us. Take lots of Dramamine days before you go out we didn’t do that till hrs before. But the overall trip was worth it and Dan was excellent. Thank you Captain Dan!!

Excellent experience. We appreciated the upfront honesty of the crew when we had reschedule do to unsafe weather conditions. Got us on the water a few days later. Very reliable and communication was spot on. Our group of teens had an amazing time catching eight species of fish.

Captain Dan was very accommodating to our boys ages 11 & almost 13! My wife caught the biggest fish that she has ever caught, Scamp Grouper in the 20lb.+ range and the state record is 29lbs.! We caught 7 different species and took home lots of tasty fish! We would highly recommend Captain Dan and when we’re back in the area we will definitely be fishing with him again!

To sum up my experience in one word it would be EXCELLENCE. We had to reschedule it once due to bad weather and he made the process completely pain free. Then he worked his hardest to make sure our trip was fun even though the fish were not wanting to cooperate for us or any of the other boats we met. We ended our day on a high note when my dad snagged a mahi mahi thanks to Captain Dan. All in all he made my dad’s 60th birthday one to remember. Thanks again for everything Captain Dan.
