Salmon Catcher Charters Toronto Ontario
Salmon Catcher Fishing Charters runs seasonal fishing trips on Lake Ontario. Located in the municipality of Mississauga, these trips are a great way to spend the afternoon or weekend going after Salmon and Trout.
Captain Bob has been fishing all Ontario lakes for the past 37 years, focusing on Lake Ontario waters. He knows how to land Salmon and Trout, and will put you on fish. His trips are suitable for novice anglers and more experienced fishermen, so feel welcome.
You will join Captain Bob aboard his 2025 22foot Hewescraft. It is powered by 115 HP and 9.9 hp Yamaha engines including 10KW electric autopilot one, she can reach speeds of 30 knots. The vessel can accommodate up to five anglers in fully enclosed cabin and take them out off the coast of Port Credit or Toronto for some fine fishing.
This commercially registered vessel is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, chart plotter, radar, and stores the fishing equipment. You will get rods, reels, and tackle, lures, and natural fish cut bait. Soft drinks will be served on board, and anglers are not allowed to bring alcohol on their trip.
These waters are home to hefty Salmon and Trout, and you will get to test your skills on heavy tackle. Salmon Catcher Fishing Charters use trolling to get you the fish, and Chinook, Coho, Rainbow, and Lake Trout all bite well around these fisheries.
If you need flexibility, this charter is the safest option, as Captain Bob can arrange for a different departure time. However, he has a lot of experience fishing here, and knows weather conditions well. He will advise you on your itinerary so that you use the most out of your Lake Ontario fishing.

Captain Bob – A True Pro on Lake Ontario
We had an amazing fishing trip with Salmon Catcher Charters in Toronto! The boat was clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a great day on Lake Ontario. Captain Bob is an outstanding professional – he knows the lake inside out, quickly finds the best spots, and makes fishing both exciting and easy to enjoy. Time with him flies by so fast, and you immediately want to come back for another trip. We enjoyed the beautiful views of Toronto from the water, and had a truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Captain Bob and Salmon Catcher Charters – definitely a 5-star adventure!

6 Hour Salmon - AM
Great Experience
Captain Bob was punctual to our 6 AM put-in at Humber Bay Lake Ontario. Excellent new boat, a very sturdy and safe Hewescraft 20 foot aluminum vessel. We talked about how it can handle rough weather better than his previous craft. Our party was 3, just the right amount of room. 4 would be fine, as Bob states as the maximum. Captain Bob fulfills a unique space for small groups/families who want to charter an intimate 6 hour fishing trip for a decent price. I searched for others, but they require larger parties and more $. Our party was lucky to catch 3 fish during a 6 hour charter. A storm had just passed the day before and the barometer was high, so we had still waters and hot weather. Captain Bob used his instruments and knowledge to find feeder schools to get us some action. Captain Bob's job is to keep you safe on the lake and do his best to catch you fish. He's not a showman. If you are interested in what he's doing while rigging the lines, just ask and he'll explain. He's a "retired" Eastern European guy, so don't expect a ton of chit chat. He's a very interesting guy who's focused on his job on the boat. His head is constantly on a swivel which I appreciated. While trolling is slow and no bites, talk about his former careers as an electrician or IT guy. He really made us laugh when he asked our 9 year old if he was bored. Our kid said yes and Bob said he likes when kids are honest. No BS. Fishing can be boring, enjoy the experience. In all, Bob can't control if the fish are biting or if the weather is good, but you can trust him to do his best for a great experience.

Excellent Outing on the Salmon Catcher
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Best value. I do a lot of fishing off the coast of NYC, NJ and Long Island and enjoyed a great four-hours excursion with Captain Bob on the Salmon Catcher boat. He is extremely skilled on the water and willing to teach about the art of fishing from the basics to more sophisticated topics such as understanding the use of advanced technology. Safety was a priority. The boat is brand new and felt very safe. It was really cool to see how Captain Bob hand crafted the installation of the boat’s essentials, such as the fish finder, sonar screen, electronic trolling engine (very eco friendly), rod holders, and more. We even got to reel in a fish on a slow day. Overall, I enjoy a great morning on the Salmon Catcher recommend to anyone interested in fishing this area.

Fishing & City tour on Boat!!
At first, our family didn’t have big expectations—but it turned out to be super fun and exciting! Captain Bob was amazing—he answered every single question we had and even taught us some fishing skills. We caught a 22-pound salmon along with some smaller ones. It was tough getting the big one on the boat, but Captain Bob was a huge help! It was our first time fishing on the lake, and the whole experience was just awesome. Plus, the view of Toronto from the boat was absolutely beautiful. Huge thanks to Captain Bob!

Thank you, Captain Bob, for taking us out so early in the season! Very interesting to learn from the Captain about boat fishing on Lake Ontario, as we are used to bank fishing on rivers across Europe. No fish this time, but Bob encouraged us to come back anytime. Got some incredible photos of the Toronto skyline, which was what one thing we were hoping to achieve. Next time in Toronto we will be back! Good luck with the new boat! 6 Hour Salmon - AM on July 10, 2025
Captain Bob was punctual to our 6 AM put-in at Humber Bay Lake Ontario. Excellent new boat, a very sturdy and safe Hewescraft 20 foot aluminum vessel.
