With nearly a decade of experience doing fishing trips and a lifetime of fishing locally, Capt. Raymond knows all the best places to take you fishing.
Capt. Raymond is one of few anglers who has been awarded 'The Freshwater Elite Angler Award' in the state of Texas. This is an achievement award for catching trophy-sized fish of 5 different species. He'll use his skills to help you have a great time fishing.
You'll spend the day on his center console. There is some shade available and plenty of rod holders, perfect for trolling. The wireless trolling motor will give you an extra edge in getting on top of your prey. There is a cooler for the catch on board, but you should bring another small cooler for your own food and drinks.
The day will be spent going for Redfish. You'll also target Blue and Channel Catfish.
These trips are great for the whole family. Kids over 4 will enjoy reeling in their first fish. There are life vests on board for them.
Everyone over 17 will need to buy a fishing license for the day. You should also bring plenty of drinks and snacks for the trip. It's best to wear light layers, bring a sun hat, and wear deck shoes. Don't forget to bring sunscreen along, too.
Included in the price are top quality rods and reels and live bait when used.

I booked this trip with my adult sons, and it did not disappoint! Bones got us on the fish pretty quickly, and the bite stayed consistent until we ran out of bait. After that, we switched over to lures and kept fishing. Bones was great about coaching us along the way and sharing some effective techniques and tips for catching Red Drum, and they definitely seemed to work. We had a great time, caught fish, and learned a few things in the process. Bones also filleted our fish as well. I would absolutely book another trip with Bones. If you’re curious about fishing Calaveras Lake, I highly recommend booking a trip, you won’t be disappointed!

What a great experience, went fishing today with my brothers and father for my birthday!! the captain, very knowledgeable, with a lot of experience. He knew exactly where the fish were and got us some good Fish right away. We had a total of 10 fish, eight reds and two catfish with a 28 pound monster catfish that gave me a great battle! Will definitely book again with bones fishing guide services. Such an awesome Experience, but most of all great memories were made with Dad and brothers. 100% recommended.

my daughter had never caught a red before. My only goal was to remedy that. Not only did all 3 of the people in my party have a slot red within the first 45 minutes of the trip, we finished it out with all 3 of us limiting out! great weather, better fishing, a knowledgeable captain, and plenty of equipment. we had an absolute blast and will be booking him again for our next trip! granted i dont expect every trip to go like this. but i have to say, he put us right on em, with the right bait, and the right lures, and we nailed em! not only did she get her first red... she limited out and caught the biggest of the day for us!

I booked a halfday fishing trip with Captain Raymond for my son and I. We caught many red fish, most of them over 22 inches. Raymond is a great guide for novices (me) and experienced anglers. At the end of our trip, he expertly cleaned up some of our catch and we took home some fillets for dinner (which were excellent with Cajun seasoning). We had a lot of fun, and I don't hesitate to recommend Bones Fishing Guide!

Surprised my husband for his 40th birthday with this guide. Him, myself, and our 13yr old daughter. We caught so many reds! The captain was down to earth, very patient and informative. He handles everything, all you have to do is sit back, jam to the music, and reel in a big fish when it hits. We had a great trip! Would definitely book again!
