Hooked Up Charters and Trapping invites you to join Captain Derek Ward on the waters of Fort Myers Beach, Florida for the fishing trip of a lifetime. If you love fishing the inshore waters and find that species like Redfish and Tarpon rock your boat, then read on!

Captain Derek Ward is a Florida native with a passion for fishing. Hop aboard his 25’ Sportsman bay boat. She’s ideal for up to 4 anglers and powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. She also features a wireless trolling motor, an icebox, a live well, safety equipment, as well as GPS and Fishfinder to aid you in your search of the fish.

Fishing in the Fort Myers Beach and Estero Bay area means you’ll target a variety of incredible inshore fish. Redfish, Trout, Snook, Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Bull Sharks, and more are on your target list. You’ll use a variety of techniques including spinning or fly fishing on light or heavy tackle. It’ll be both an educational and fun experience!

Hooked Up Charters provides rods, reels, tackle, bait, drinks, and fish processing at the end of the trip. Capt. Derek loves seeing kids getting into this sport so he strongly encourages guests to bring along their youngsters!

Great time. 3 50 year old fishers. Derek put us on snook right out of the gate. Had plenty of large bait and took us to a number of locations. Boat was large enough to fish very comfortably with 3 ppl. We fished with 5 captains this week and we rate Derek top dog!

Our family of four had a really enjoyable time with Captain Derek. We caught some really nice sized fish and enjoyed the ride in the boat. Captain Derek was very knowledgeable on the local fish and how to catch them. Highly recommend!
