Amelia Family Fishing Charters
Amelia Family Fishing Charters strives to give you a memorable fishing experience on the waters surrounding Amelia Island, FL. Captain Keith is a fourth-generation local fisherman who really enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area. Join him for a day that you and your family will never forget!
You'll fish aboard a 28' Parker, which has a dry cabin and a top for shade. This vessel is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha 4-stroke which makes it fast and safe, with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots.
She also features padded and comfortable seating on board for up to 5 passengers. The onboard GPS and Fishfinder will reveal the productive spots, the live well will hold the bait, and the ice box will keep your catch fresh.
Capt. Keith truly enjoys having children on board because most kids don't care what they catch—they just want to catch! You will find him to be a very patient guide who takes time to explain what you do on the water and why.
Capt. Keith specializes in fishing the jetties, inlet, and backwaters for Redfish and Black Drum. Fishing for these species here opens the possibility of catching so many different kinds of fish. On the inlet-jetty trips you can also catch Sharks, Tarpon, Cobia, Seatrout, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and Sheepshead.
Amelia Family Fishing Charters provides a fishing license, Penn rods and reels, bait, tackle, and a cooler of ice for your beverages. Capt. Keith looks forward to fishing with you soon!

We lucked out with Captain Keith. Had a fun time!! He was great. He grew up on the island and was able to throw in some island history for free. It was a great balance of conversation and silence. Loved that. The weather was a little on the chilly side but we prepared for that. Layers and layers. Captain Keith always positioned the boat where the sun on us. For a fisherman, he was impatient with the fish, lol. If they didn't bite within five minutes or so, we were off to another location. And good thing because after moving three times, we hit the jackpot. Caught lots of fish, which he cleaned and filleted for us. It was well worth the time and money; you most likely won't come back empty handed. Would love to go out into deeper waters with him sometime this summer.

This was our second time fishing with Captain Keith during our spring break. We really appreciated his flexibility in scheduling around some bad weather during our vacation week. He took us right out to a great spot, and Keith helped us land multiple sharks, stingrays, and other fish during our trip. Our family would highly recommend booking with Captain Keith for an afternoon of fishing!
capt. keith was amazing. The history, the patience, and the knowledge….we had an amazing time! I would highly recommend this charter.
Keith was prompt, personable, knowledgeable, and fun. He was also great with our grandboys 6 & 4 and kept them engaged with the evil eel snake that he was not allowing on board, and the feisty blue crab who he let loose for the boys to see. We caught enough for dinner! Thanks for cooking tips Captain Keith… arrrr me hearties ate well! We’ll be in touch for our future family visitors - fun afternoon. Thankyou sooo much!
Keith was definitely everything we were looking for - friendly and engaging. He freely shared his knowledge about the area and of course the fish we were about to catch. Fishing was great, but the catching wasn't. Not his fault, a big storm went through the day before & stirred up the waters in the inlets we were fishing. Caught quite a few small rays & fish so that was fun. Highly Recommend Capt. Keith to everyone!

I am one of the lucky few to have grown up here on Amelia Island, fishing and shrimping the surrounding waters my entire life. Whether it's float fishing way back up in the oyster bed flats, bottom fishing around the inlets and jetty rocks, or live bait slow trolling out on the reefs, I know these waters very well. I earned my first captains license in 1992, and I have been taking friends, families, and small groups fishing ever since. I have watched small kids grow up into adults, seeing them only one or two weeks a year on their vacations. Kind of neat! Come aboard, you'll see why most of the people who fish with me keep coming year after year.
