Amelia Family Fishing Charters strives to give you a memorable fishing experience on the waters surrounding Amelia Island, FL. Captain Keith is a fourth-generation local fisherman who really enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area. Join him for a day that you and your family will never forget!
You’ll fish aboard a 28’ Parker, which has a dry cabin and a top for shade. This vessel is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha 4-stroke which makes it fast and safe, with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots.
She also features padded and comfortable seating on board for up to 5 passengers. The onboard GPS and Fishfinder will reveal the productive spots, the live well will hold the bait, and the ice box will keep your catch fresh.
Capt. Keith truly enjoys having children on board because most kids don’t care what they catch—they just want to catch! You will find him to be a very patient guide who takes time to explain what you do on the water and why.
Capt. Keith specializes in fishing the jetties, inlet, and backwaters for Redfish and Black Drum. Fishing for these species here opens the possibility of catching so many different kinds of fish. On the inlet-jetty trips you can also catch Sharks, Tarpon, Cobia, Seatrout, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and Sheepshead.
Amelia Family Fishing Charters provides a fishing license, Penn rods and reels, bait, tackle, and a cooler of ice for your beverages. Capt. Keith looks forward to fishing with you soon!

3 Hour Trip – Inlet & Jetty PM on August 4, 2025
It was our families first charter and it was great. Plenty of room for our family of 5 on the boat and we all caught fish. Captain Keith was very kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating from start to finish. We will definitely book another trip very soon.

When our trip started, the weather and temperatures were less than favorable but Captain Keith took the five of us out and then the fish started hitting. Everyone quickly moved past the conditions and started having fun and making memories. Capt Keith was very patient with the two younger boys and taught them a bunch of new fishing techniques. He is super knowledgable with fishing and educated us about the water ways and types of fish out there. The entire group had a great time and would like to thank him for this experience. I would highly recommend him to all!!

3 Hour Trip – Inlet & Jetty Fishing on April 22, 2025
Captain Keith made everything fun and easy. We caught lots of keeper fish, mostly whiting and one black drum, enough for dinner for six, plus several catch-and-release surprises like catfish, a couple of large sting rays, a hammerhead shark and nice red drum just one inch to small to bring home. Our group – three adults and two kids – had a very good time.

We've been out with Keith a couple times, and it's always worth it. We always catch fish. Today he had to work harder than in the past, but he didn't give up until we caught a giant!

We had another excellent 3-hour fishing outing with Captain Keith. Family visiting from the UK really enjoyed themselves. We caught flounder, whiting, sea bass, catfish, a lot of ladfish and a shark for good measure. Easily enough for a fish fry for nine people back home.

I am one of the lucky few to have grown up here on Amelia Island, fishing and shrimping the surrounding waters my entire life. Whether it's float fishing way back up in the oyster bed flats, bottom fishing around the inlets and jetty rocks, or live bait slow trolling out on the reefs, I know these waters very well. I earned my first captains license in 1992, and I have been taking friends, families, and small groups fishing ever since. I have watched small kids grow up into adults, seeing them only one or two weeks a year on their vacations. Kind of neat! Come aboard, you'll see why most of the people who fish with me keep coming year after year.
