As soon as we stepped foot on the ground captain Jessi met us with a huge smile and very warm welcome. It didn’t take him long at all to put us on some fish. Even in between catching fish he still kept us entertained with his knowledge of the waters and the surroundings. He did great with making this trip a perfect first experience for the kids. From teaching knots, to helping them cast, and even making sure that they feel confident that they can catch fish. Capt Jessi really knows how to work the entire boat, he’s always paying attention, and is there to help pronto. It’s always great to be with someone who enjoys what they do, and Capt really enjoys being out on the water. I’ve been on charters before, but Capt Jessi by far has had the absolute best customer service you could ask for. I will be a returning customer for years to come.

Our trip with Capt. Jesse was great.  We arrived at the dock 15 minutes early and he was there waiting for us.  We caught a variety of species in early March including flounder, trout, croaker, and others.  Capt. Jesse knew when and where to move to make sure we had the best chance of getting on the fish. He was polite, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.  We were a party of three and never felt cramped or crowded on the boat. Thank you Captain Jesse for a great trip!

Captain Jesse is a fantastic person to spend the day on the water with. We caught fish, had great conversation, and saw beautiful scenery. His equipment is suited for the job and his boat is perfect as well. We had plenty of room for the four of us and the captain. He also cleaned our fish and we took them to a local spot that cooked them for us! We will be back again, we’ll also tell everyone we know to go see Captain Jesse at Amelia Light Tackle Charters.

We had a great day with Captain Jesse.  He taught us to catch bait( shrimp and ponies) with nets.  We hooked a big Tarpon while at the Jettys and struggled with it for 20-30 mins.  It jumped out 3-4 times, to the delight of us all, getting great pictures/video.  We caught grunts, toadfish, lady fish and one red fish, as well as a few crabs.  We saw dozens of dolphins at very close range, as well as Crush (the turtle from Nemo.)
Jessie taught us a lot of the history and geography of the area.  He was very kind to my son when became sea sick.  We moved into flatter water and everything was fine from then on.
Even though we reserved a half day,  Captain Jesse really gave us all of the time we desired.  He was in no hurry to stop fishing. He genuinely would have kept us fishing as long as we wanted.  It was well worth it and we can’t wait to go fishing with Captain Jesse and his no-name boat again

Came in November on a terrible weather day but Captain Jesse made it work. I came from NY so it wasn’t too bad but for Floridians it was freezing cold and windy. Jesse put me on a multi-species pile of fish in brutal conditions. He even took what I assume was an unusual run into rough seas, out to basically the open ocean, in order to find some giants! All the equipment was great, bait was plentiful, and Jesse’s knowledge of the history of Fernandina Beach made for interesting conversation. Great trip and will be back next time I’m in the area!
