Amelia Light Tackle Charters invites you aboard for a truly memorable day of fishing around beautiful Amelia Island.
You’ll be guided by Captain Jesse Stubbs, a 3rd generation local captain who knows these waters like the back of his hand. His family has lived arcoss these barrier islands, from Amelia, Cumberland, St. Simons, Sea Island, and Sapelo Island. You will see historic sights hear a few stories along the way, while in search of fish!
We’ll fish comfortably from a 2006 21ft Sea Pro, powered by a reliable 150HP 2013 Yamaha, also equipped with a 24volt Minn Kota trolling motor, GPS/SONAR electronics, dual livewells, ice box, and one dry storage hatch (under, front left bench seat) Up to four guests fish comfortably from this vessel.
These Trips focus on light spinning tackle, fishing from the inshore waters to inlets/jetties, and sometimes way up the backwaters.
The technique include live bait for an exciting, hands on experience. You’re welcome to keep your catch, several local restaurants will cook it for you.
Kids of all ages are absolutely welcome, Captain Jesse is patient, encouraging, and loves teaching whether it’s knot tying, baiting hooks, casting, or netting bait. Every trip is tailored so everyone is involved and enjoying fishing and learning, a trip for all ages
This trip provides all fishing licenses, live bait, tackle, rods, ice, bottled water, and fish cleaning. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.
