Amelia Light Tackle Charters 

I was a little nervous about the weather and our fish catching abilities so last minute I changed from 2 hours to 3. The captain approved this right away which was great. This trip was PERFECT for myself and husband as we are already relatively experienced at fishing. Our son is 9 and he was able to fish completely independently and caught his own fish, too. Our daughter is 5 and pretty much just hunkered down on the floor of the boat because it was COLD that day. She could've participated but I wouldn't recommend bringing children younger than 5-6 unless it is over 70 degrees out. The captain was as helpful as possible and put us on the fish despite crappy weather (cold, windy).

Wound up at Fernandia for my annual birthday trip. We typically charter a trip on each trip and were totally pleased. Captain Jesse putnus on fish immediately whereb I caight my first ever speckled trout, nice five pounder. while searching in shore for more of Captain Jesse's "secret" spots, we wound up catching a bunch of speckles and a few black drum, many keepers. A high light was the vast knowledge of the local history of the island and surrounding area Captain Jesse imparted. We will definitely give Captain Jesse a vall for our next charter in Fernandina. what a great day!

A great trip as always with Jesse. We got on a alot of action quickly, he’s always got a great story and is an endless weath of local knowledge. This trip included my five year old son and Jesse was wonderfully entertaining and understanding having a young person on board. Could not recommend Amelia Island Light tackle Charters more!

Captain Jesse is great! full service fishing trip! The 2 hour trip went by lightning fast. although we werent “in” the fish, we still caught 9. He was also very informative about the area and the historical significance of the old buildings. if it rains make sure you have rain jackets on standby and wear grippy shoes.

Jesse was the perfect captain for our family. He answered all of our four and nine year olds’ questions and was so good about making sure the kids always had a shrimp on their hooks and helped them cast. My husband and I got to fish too because Jesse was so on top of it. We had a lucky day and caught over 9 fish in 2 hours.

Jesse done an awesome job. Showed up on time with both live shrimp and mullet. It was constant action. We must have caught 15 different species of fish…totaling around 25-30 total…even mangrove snapper and a snook. I would highly recommend booking with Jesse he knows how to get you on fish.

I booked this as a late surprise birthday gift for my husband & his best friend & they had an amazing time. This was their first time doing a fishing charter & salt water fishing. They caught a stingray, a few sharks, & an assortment of fish. They're ready to book again!

Great day fishing w my son (11). Captain Jesse was a lot of fun to fish with. great conversation and fishing! Fish the jetty a d also some piers…caught a variety of nice fish and took home some nice filets! Great for kids or anyone.

Jesse was an awesome captain for my sons and I. It was my boys first time fishing and Jesse made it fun and easy. Everybody caught fish and he had a good sense of humor. Very enjoyable trip, would definitely suggest.

My wife, two kids, and I had a great time with Jesse. Caught flounder, sea trout, blue fish and even hooked in to a stingray. Jesse did a great job keeping it entertaining for my two young boys.
