X Wing offers fishing charters out of Setúbal, Portugal, where you can enjoy fishing the Atlantic Ocean and the Sado River. Come aboard with Captain Nuno Madruga, a local and knowledgeable guide who will show you how to fish these waters!
Step aboard a 25' Goymar pilothouse powered by a 150 HP Penta Volvo engine. This vessel comes equipped with GPS, Fishfinder, and a live bait well. A private toilet on board caters to your comfort. This boat can carry up to 5 passengers, and children of all ages are welcome.
Capt. Nuno will take you fishing in the Atlantic Ocean and the Sado River Estuary. During summer you can target John Dory, Striped Bream, Seabass, Pandora, and more just 8 miles from shore. If you are more interested in river fishing, Capt. Nuno can take you a few miles further into the Sado River to target some of the same species.
You can also snorkel near the sandbanks for mussels, which can be used as live bait or kept for a delicious dinner. If you find yourself here in winter, you can join Capt. Nuno for a specialized Gilt-head fishing trip.
X Wing provides a fishing license and all fishing equipment including Daiwa BG. You'll also find snorkeling gear. On your trip, you'll also enjoy a complimentary lunch and snacks such as sandwiches, fruits, juice, and beer at your request.

Great day on the ocean with Nuno and his “assistant”. Caught a lot of fish: Red Snapper, Grouper, etc., in the nicest weather🌞 Nuno was kind and always helpful with tips, bait, etc. Highly recommend 👏👏
Experienced guys. was a fun day. caught 32 fish. would do it again. learned a lot had 2 shark incidents where they took our fish 5 m below surface while reeling in 😅
We went on the river fishing tour, as it was too windy for the open sea. Nuno was very knowledgeable and gave some good tips and inspiration about fishing. We caught some gilt head breams, but the fishing gods were not super generous that day. Still a great experience and I'd go again.
I met the Captain Nuno and his sailor Paul at the local cafe where they bought breakfast and lunch for the trip (fresh pastries and ham and cheese sandwiches), they were friendly and on time. I was the only fisherman for the day! We drove a few miles out to sea while they told me about the sights and they spoke English well which was helpful as I had been start with the language. We set up and I had a fish on the line within 5 minutes. They baited all the hooks and explained about the species we were after. I caught about 12 fish of various local species. I would 100% recommend this tour to any beginning fisherman and I would definitely hire them again! I had a great time.
