+35Shearwater Charters is a family-friendly team that offers exciting fishing trips out of Biloxi, Mississippi. Captain Brandon Morano, the owner and operator, is an experienced and passionate angler. His philosophy is: “Its not work if you love what you do.”
Hop aboard the “Shearwater,” a 37’ Custom built sport fisherman, perfect for up to 6 anglers. The Shearwater comes powered by a 320 HP Caterpillar engine and is fully fitted with top-notch navigational electronics, as well as many other professional facilities.
She has all the comforts of home, with two sets of bunks, a salon, and a restroom. On board, you’ll also find a fighting chair for those who are up for a challenge and a flybridge to aid your search for the fish.
Stay close to the shore and have your hands full of Speckled Trout, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, King Mackerel, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, and many other species. Or head out to catch Red Snapper (in June and July), Cobia, Barracuda, and even Sharks!
Light tackle enthusiasts will appreciate the opportunity to test their trolling, bottom fishing, and jigging skills. You’ll learn a technique or 2 and come back to the shore with as many “catches of the day” as possible!
Trips come with rods, reels, tackle, bait, and ice. You’ll be joined by experienced deckhands, who’ll work hard to make your fishing trip one to remember and clean your catch at the end of the trip. Gratuities are very much appreciated for all of their efforts!

My wife and I brought our 13 yr old son and 10 yr old son for their first deep sea fishing experience. The captain and first officer were amazing!! They took the time to answer the MANY questions my kids had about fishing and the marine life, as well as thoroughly instructed / taught them how to fish. When the trip was over, the first officer filleted my son’s fish for him so we could take them across the pier across the dock and have them fried! I’ll definitely use them again the next time I’m in Biloxi on vacation!

Brandon is amazing, he kept everything set up perfectly for us. He had everything we needed. Fishing was incredible. If our lines were in the water we were catching fish. Caught a bunch of sheepshead, handful of sharks a huge black drum, and a stingray. Wouldn’t change a thing about the trip. They were at the dock well before departure time ready to go. I will be booking another trip with them soon!!

This was my 2nd fishing trip and the best one!! It started out slow but once we found the fish it was like a movie!! 6 man trip and 4 fish biting at the same time, the captain had to come down to help, it was fun!! They were very knowledgeable and friendly!!! My son, dad and brother really enjoyed their 1st fishing trip!!! We’ll be back!! 👍🏽

We debated booking a longer time on the water but the 4 hour trip was plenty for us. We caught our limit of Red Drum very fast. We pulled in a handful of mackerel and had another handful pull off the hook. We also caught several Jack, which were the hardest to real in, but are not edible. Between the five of us we each had a good amount of fish to bring home. We are hoping to make this an annual tradition after the good time we had. I’m no good with names, but the captain and his first mate both did their jobs well.

Growing up fishing with my dad I developed a passion and love for the sport. As a teenager in high school, my dream job was to be a deckhand on a charter boat. In my first year of high school, I met my future wife, a fisherman's blessing! You see, her dad is the owner and captain of one of the oldest and most well-known charter boats in Biloxi – the Miss Hospitality Charters. Long story short, I fell for the girl and got my dream job working for one of the greatest captains on the coast. I had the best teacher, Capt. Kenny, teach me how to run a charter business. I saved my money and after graduating high school, I went to Captain's school and got my 100-ton captain's license. I was 18 at the time, the youngest captain on the coast. In 1995, I bought The Shearwater, and here we are 23 years later. Doing what I love, loving what I do! Teaching my boys the business. My oldest son is my deckhand and my youngest son helps out on my father in law's boat! It's definitely a family business.
