Sea Dolphin Charters
If you're looking for a place where you have countless estuaries, hidden bays and inlets, and all-round excellent inshore fishing, you're looking for Fernandina Beach. Sea Dolphin Charters have been fishing the area for years and you can rely on them to take you to the best fishing spots around and put you on the hottest bite!
You will fish from a 21' center console, manufactured by Polar. Her shallow draft allows her to scurry up to the hardest-to-reach inlets and inshore waters, putting you right where the action is. She also has a wireless trolling motor, so you can sneak up to the spookiest fish and keep your cast steady once you get there. A t-top is there as well, to keep you cool from the Floridian sun.
Captain Gerald Wilder will be your guide and assistant on this fishing journey. You will go after a wide variety of exciting local species such as Redfish, Black Drums, Flounders, Blacktip Sharks, Spotted Seatrouts, Whitings, and anything else you may run across in these bountiful waters! The techniques used will mainly be fishing with light tackle, although fly fishing is also available, for the adventurous anglers. Live bait is available on this charter, mainly being Shrimp, a favorite on the local fish's menu.
Customers can find free parking at the marina. Customers are advised to bring polarized sunglasses, adequate clothing, and sunscreen. Live bait is prepared in advance, so you can just get out there and fish!

We enjoyed our experience with Captain Gerald. He was knowledgeable about Amelia River, its history and finding fishing spots. We went on the 3 hour trip with just myself and 10 year old and he helped her to reel in a 1.5 foot Bonnet head shark, 2 Whiting, and a 4 foot Black tip. We were hoping to catch more edible fish, but that's the game. It was not disappointing at all really. We were happy just catching anything. It was hot today at the end of June, but the breeze was great. He had lots of rods, bait, and gear. A very personable man who made us very comfortable on the waters. I would highly recommend. We even saw dolphins. A fun experience. Thanks Gerald.
This was our first time fishing as a family, and it did not disappoint! We knew that going in the off-season meant beautiful weather but fewer fish—but our very first catch was a hammerhead shark! Our boys were absolutely elated, and it instantly became the highlight of the trip. After that, the bites slowed down, but Gerald went above and beyond to find the perfect spots. He pointed out landmarks along the way, like the Georgia naval base and Fort Clinch, which made the experience even more fun and informative. We ended the day catching a few more fish and even got to take some home for dinner. The best part, though, was Gerald’s energy and camaraderie. He made the entire outing memorable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend!
From the minute we got on the boat, Gerald made sure our crew ( 2 adults and a 10 and 9yr old) had a great experience. Whether it was story-telling or the 5 sharks that were caught, everyone enjoyed themselves!
Captain Gerald Wilder was the Best! He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very friendly. My grandson caught many Whiting fish and a SHARK. Great memories were made today thanks to Captain Gerald

Thank you.Glad we could get out.

I was born and raised here in the Amelia Island area. My father was a commercial shrimper for 40 years. We worked on the shrimp boat during summers. My family also had Littlefield fish camp during my teenage years, so I am well acquainted with the local waters. My goal is to go out and be safe and catch fish, with sightseeing along the way. I enjoy watching people catch fish and having a good time. We take out a lot of kids, and they are always welcome.
