Let Cape Cod Bay Charters take you on a fishing trip you'll never forget. Based in Barnstable, MA, Captain John welcomes anglers of all skill levels. The trips are available from the beginning of May until mid-October.

Lucky Lady ll is a Custom 37 Duffy sportfishing boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This fishing machine is powered by a 700 HP Cummins engine and reaches the speed of 25 knots. She's fitted with all kinds of fishing equipment that will help you have a smooth hunt, such as 4 fighting chairs, a live bait tank, and outriggers.

The boat is also comfortable and even guests who are less enthusiastic about fishing can enjoy their time here. There's a private bathroom, a bedroom, a fully functional galley, and lots of cozy seating space in the shade. The deck is also wheelchair accessible.

Your targets depend on the fishing grounds you visit. If you're taking an inshore trip, you'll mainly go after Striped Bass and Bluefish. On the other hand, offshore spots can take you after Shark and Tuna. You'll mainly do trolling, spinning, and jigging. Get in touch with the captain, so he can advise what's in season and what can be arranged.

Your fishing licenses and equipment are included in the price. The captain will also clean and fillet your catch free of charge. You only need to pack food, drinks, and sunblock for your day out.

Great day of Stripper Fishing

4 Hour Trip (PM) on August 12, 2025 • 6 adults

Had a 1:00 start time. Got there 20 minutes early and Captain John took us right out. 

Five minutes into fishing the first Stripper was on the line. A 32” fish caught on the out rigger and the fishing didn’t slow for 2 hours! At the end of the day 14 fish in the boat, 3 keepers, 3 fish under the slot limit, 8 fish over the slot limit of which one was a 38” Monster!

First mate, Quinn, was probably the best first mate I’ve ever had. Thanks again Quinn, you were awesome!

Highly recommended charter. Captain John was a competent and professional host. A real regular guy that was a lot of fun to be with! Thanks John for a great trip!

Captain John and First Mate Jeff provided for a great day all around. Great boat, great personalities, lots of fish and lots of laughs. Both are extremely knowledgeable and it is very clear that they’ve been working together for a long time and enjoy what they do, and even each other.

This was our second trip with Captain John and 1st Mate Jeff.  They are both super friendly, very knowledgeable, and made our trip memorable.
Capt John found all the right spots where the fish were, and all 6 in our group reeled in beautiful striped bass keepers. Can't recommend them enough!

Captain John and First.Mate Jeff did a great job getting us to fish and showing us how to get them caught.  We caught a bunch of stripped bass and brought a few home for dinner.  Boat is set up well for a fun trip.  Will book with them if we go out again.
