Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or trying something more specialized for the area.
Capt. David will welcome you aboard a 35' sportfishing boat with space for 6 passengers. It comes equipped with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials a fishing machine needs. There’s also a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s a good idea to ask about it in advance so you know whether you’ll need to catch it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so just show up ready to fish! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow all regulations while you fish.
You can’t go wrong bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, and beverages. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
