The Mad Marlin is a 24' Polar walkaround, and designed for serious sportfishing in a Low Cost vessel. The boat is ideal for up to 3 anglers, cruising at speeds of over 25 knots to get you to the prime fishing grounds quickly. With an autopilot, 12kW open array radar, and a 1kW sounder, you can rest assured that the latest technology will help you find the fish with ease.
The boat also features a covered top for shade, an enclosed toilet, and ample space for fishing and relaxing. Whether you're going offshore for big game or staying inshore for fun species, the Mad Marlin is rigged for both.

the trip was awsome everything was what we expected we landed 1 sail and hooked 2 others seen 10 more they were definitely not active thats fishing the captain and 1st mate went above and beyond there dutys to put fish in the boat and were both very informative and talkitive would definitely return if we have the opportunity

Perfect day of fishing!

Our trip with Andres and Arixa was wonderful! My husband and I both caught our first sailfish and a variety of other fish. Andres and Arixa went out of their way to make us feel at home on the boat and I've already recommended them to a friend traveling to the area soon. If you're a couple or small group in the Los Suenos/Jaco area, this is a must book!

The Mad Marlin is a smaller older boat great for two or maybe 3 people. If you need comfort you may be disappointed but if you want to catch fish and avoid premium prices Andres and his first mate Alexis will find the fish. I recommend a full day as traveling to the fish takes a while. But when we got there we caught fish right away. Mahi grouper and sailfish seem to be the common fair with outside chance at the coveted marlin. Andres and Alexis both speak pretty good English and are very personable. Yes Alexis is a girl but make no mistake she knows exactly what she is doing rigging and baiting. She will work her tail off to hook fish for you.

Captain Andrea and first mate Cortez were absolutely dedicated to fishing. We chased a tough bite all day and saw a couple of sailfish and many bigeye tuna. The bite was just not happening (nature!). But we didn't go home blank. They put in the extra work and time to put us on a healthy bite of beautiful snowy grouper and a couple of snapper. We had a great time, and you won't find a captain and first mate that will work harder for you. They also fed us great breakfast & lunch and provided cold drinks of our choice. On the way back, Cortez cleaned our fish for us. It doesn't get much better service. From my family to yours, muchas gracias y Pura Vida!
