Head out of Saint Augustine and enjoy Florida's famous bluewater fishery! Captain Doug Goddard aboard the 'Proper Lady' will get you to the best proven fish havens and put you on the hottest bite around!
You'll fish aboard a 45' Goddard – a premier fishing vessel capable of holding 6 anglers at the same time. She has a spacious back deck perfect for lining up with your buddies and casting some lines without bumping elbows. The boat was originally built in 1981 and fully rejuvenated in 2023
it's the perfect combination of modern amenities and old-fashioned quality.
Capt. Doug will get you to check the bite for a wide range of pelagic species. There's something for every angler in the waters off the coast of Saint Augustine! Anglers looking to flex their fishing muscles can hook up Amberjack and Cobia, some of the fiercest fighters pound-for-pound. If you're looking to land some delicious treats you can go after Red and Mangrove Snapper, as well as Wahoo.
You'll do high speed trolling for Wahoo and other species between February and April. You can also do bottom fishing, jigging, and drift fishing using light or heavy tackle. The tipping percentage for the First mate is 15% of the trip!

Captain Doug and right hand man Joe are awesome! Boat is super clean and rides smooth! Captain knew exactly where to go for fish. We went to many different spots! Best part is if the spot was not hitting, we left. Some Captains have you sit there for hours. Joe is amazing and helped as much or as little as needed. My sons first off shore experience has him wanting to learn more about fishing and head offshore again. Highly recommend Properly Lady for your offshore fishing experienced!
Thank you to the Renae Timme Family, The best folkes you could ever meet. We all had a great time and got home safely just before the afternoon storms hit.
Wow, I can not give enough stars!!! This was a unbelievable trip! The Cap and first mate were on fire and made the experience magical. They know where the fish are, our arms were so tired from catching so many fish. Captain Doug is awesome and he truly takes pride in what he does, the boat is stunning and equipped with everything. Really we had the most wonderful time, I will only ever charter with the Proper Lady team!!!

Great fishing trip. Captain and mate were very friendly, helpful and worked hard to make sure we caught fish. We appreciate the efforts from both. We do recommend fishing with Captain Doug.
