Kingfish Westcoast Adventures invites you to experience the best sportfishing British Columbia has to offer. Explore the pristine waters of the Kitimat, located at the head of the Douglas Channel. Fish one of the area's longest inland fjords and get your hands on some of the most exciting species.
Your Captain Andreas has over three decades of fishing experience. He has been guiding in the Kitimat area for the past 10 years and knows all the local 'honey holes.' On a day out with Capt. Andreas and his crew, you can expect a superior level of service that will make you want to come back year after year.
Kingfish Westcoast Adventures specializes in fishing for Chinook, Pink, Chum, and Coho Salmon and Halibut. As well as that, you can expect to catch Lingcod, Seabass, and Rockfish near the shores.
You will be using frozen Herring, white Chinook Salmon heads or bellies to catch Halibut. Just about every technique could produce some good results as long as you fish the right spot. You will be fishing with light gear, such as mooching rod while also trolling for Salmon. Capt. Andreas will have 2 rods per downriver for Salmon and the same for bottom fish. As well as that, fly fishing for Coho is a must.
You will go out aboard a brand-new 26' Weldcraft offshore sport fishing boat. It comes powered by a pair of 175 HP Mercury Verado engines and provides plenty of space for 5 anglers or just 8 passengers. The boat is fully outfitted with Lowrance electronics, quality gear, and professional accessories.
The trips are all-inclusive. You will only need to bring your desire to catch fish and have fun doing it. Ask your captain how to get a fishing license.

What started out slow ending up being a great trip, they took extra time in the day to make sure we caught fish. We enjoyed our trip and would book with them again.

The owner Andre's was very nice and the b&b was in a beautiful area, and kept clean. We also got to go river fishing with James where we caught a 78cm salmon! Thanks again James and Andre's looking forward to our next trip!

Lunch was sausages for both days which is not bad especially we are not really expecting it to be something special. Good experience. :)

Captain Andreas Handl was born in Lower Austria. He grew up exploring the pristine streams full of Trout near his family home. Andreas spent his childhood summers discovering the streamside. He obtained his first fishing license at a young age of 14 and since then, there was hardly a free minute where he wasn't fly fishing. Andreas began a career in the culinary industry and made sure it was close to a Grayling and Trout stream. His fishing repertoire in Europe included a wide variety of lakes and streams in the Alps. When he first visited British Columbia, Andreas got hooked on Steelhead, Salmon, and ocean fishing.
