Captain Andreas Handl was born in Lower Austria. He grew up exploring the pristine streams full of Trout near his family home. Andreas spent his childhood summers discovering the streamside. He obtained his first fishing license at a young age of 14 and since then, there was hardly a free minute where he wasn't fly fishing. Andreas began a career in the culinary industry and made sure it was close to a Grayling and Trout stream. His fishing repertoire in Europe included a wide variety of lakes and streams in the Alps. When he first visited British Columbia, Andreas got hooked on Steelhead, Salmon, and ocean fishing.

Full Day Trip • 5 adults • 2 childrenWe had a few hiccups starting out, but this team worked with us to give us a great experience regardless, and made up for it in the end. Justin, the guide, was very kind, and took the time to teach the kids and discuss everything we were doing, catching, the area and more. What started out slow ending up being a great trip, they took extra time in the day to make sure we caught fish. We enjoyed our trip and would book with them again.

Full Day Trip • 4 adultsSpent 3 full days on the ocean, spent the night at 2 different hot springs! Our captain brandon was very knowledgeable about the area and fishing he made share we caught lots fish, and saw lots of the area also kept us laughing the whole trip thank you again Brandon. The owner Andre's was very nice and the b&b was in a beautiful area, and kept clean. We also got to go river fishing with James where we caught a 78cm salmon! Thanks again James and Andre's looking forward to our next trip!

What's biting with Kingfish Westcoast Adventures Ltd. in Kitimat
The weather is cooling down, which makes it a bit difficult to chase Salmon or Trout, but you can still cast your line at the head end of the Douglas Channel and hook a Coho or two.
