As a beginner with a strong passion and commitment to learn the sport, Andrew and Gonzalo taught me a lot. The breath work lesson before the dive was more enlightening than anything I've come across on youtube. With thier guidance I was able to do my first guided max breath hold and achieved over 3 mins which they say is above average. This was a great leap forward in my understanding and abilities and a real confidence boost for me! We swam all around the bay and dove on fish. They pointed out a few different good eating fish and then demonstrated good dive forms and good hunting techniques. They took time with my girl too who is less serious about the sport and she even shot her first fish with a speargun! I got two fish which was icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned. There is a lot going on as a newbie and I think its more important to focus on finding my zen in the water, learning my gear, and improving technique. At the end Gonzalo jumped right in and cleaned my two fish for me and Andrew graciously gifted us some of his catch with which we had two meals the following day. It was a great introduction to our week here along the coast. I'll be spending a few days practicing up for the Bays Tour by boat which I'm super stoked for! (no expectations!)

going from Bay to Bay really gave me a lot of confidence in swimming in deeper waters. We saw a lot more species than the short diving and more varied underwater features. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to advance their understanding of spearfishing! Thank you, Andrew and Gonzalo! I hope to return sooner than later!
this is out second time going and its been great. excellent information and tea hing for starters. fun
Andrew and Gonzales were great They went over the breathing etc with my two friends that had never even snorkelled I a few surgeon fish, a nice Jack trevaly, a big trigger fish and a small tuna We brought about 15 lbs of meat back to our condo We had a large humpback only 30 yards from our boat and dolphins around us Also had a large school of white spotted rays swim by I will be doing this again Good guys and very informative

This was all time and once in a lifetime. Andrew was an amazing instructor. He made me feel safe, capable, confident, comfortable, knowledgeable and prepared. I went on my first spearfishing excursion with him. We went over psychological and physiological breathing fundamentals and stretches. I got acquainted with the gear and then we went for a long swim and a successful hunt! We walked about 150 feet from the water to the small beach restaurant where they made our fish into a delicious ceviche. Add a few beers and it was truly a perfect day that I'll never forget.
