Keepin It Wet Charters will take you, your family, and friends fishing the beautiful waterways of Pensacola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Even if you have never held a fishing rod in your life or you are a seasoned professional, there is a trip for you. Kids are more than welcome to join the adventure. They will have even more fun than you!
You will be fishing with Captain Gene Johnson, a Pensacola native. Gene has over 3 decades of fishing experience and has mastered the waters from California all the way to Florida. He is a tournament winner angler, who has fished for Marlin, Redfish, Cobia, and an array of inshore species. If he doesn't put you on fish then no-one else will!
Keepin It Wet Charters will take you out aboard a 24' Fish Master center console. The boat was built in 2014 and can accommodate up to 4 anglers. It comes powered by a 200 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine and can cruise at an impressive speed of 38 knots. In fact, the boat can almost fly!
The center console is outfitted with electronics, a wireless trolling motor, and 2 live wells loaded with bait. You will be provided with absolutely everything you need to make a great catch possible. The only thing that is not included in the price of the trips is lunch.
Check the bite close to shore or venture up to 9 miles out to add a few more species to your list. Target Sheepshead, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Triggerfish, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Cobia, Amberjack, and Red Snapper when the season allows.

2 Hour Trip - Family Fun on July 16, 2020 • 3 adults • 1 childFirst trip out for our daughter so chose the 2 hour trip..:Started the day by heading out and then rain coming fast and furious unexpectedly (not on the radar). Captain Gene took us off water where we visited and when everything cleared headed back out and Bam we were on the fish. We managed in about 30-40 min to catch 3 king mackerel, 1 cobia, and have another big fish on that as we were pulling to boat....got away. Our 12 year old girl is hooked. We now have a fisher girl. Captain Gene is awesome and you’ll have a great trip! Tons of experience. Great clean boat! This is a great outfitter. Great family morning!

2 Hour Trip - Family Fun on August 4, 2021 • 2 adultsWent out this morning (8/4/21) with the Cap and had a great time! Caught a couple speckled trout and skipjack. Tried for some redfish as well, but no luck today. Captain took us out in the gulf and showed us a sunken tanker. Ran into a small pod of dolphins too. Great time with a great charter! We will be back next time we are in Florida!

Gene was a great captain. Got us on multiple reds, i screwed up and lost a big slot fish. Caught hogs, specks, black grouper and skipjacks. I would reccomend for future trips.

This is our 2nd year going out with Capt. Gene and we had another great time. We caught a variety of fish, including red and black snapper. We fished in a variety of locations including a crater and a few sunken ship sites. Gene has all the gear and bait ready to go and will move/relocate when the bite is slow and makes a n effort to ensure you are catching fish.
Didn't catch many fish, but had fun anyway. Wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Gene had lots of patience with me as I'm not the fisherman that my wife is and I'm not ashamed to admit it. We would love to go again with Gene and highly recommend him to others.

Captain Gene Johnson grew up in Pensacola and has been fishing the area for 30+ years. He's fished waters from Florida to California catching many different species of fish. Gene has fished several fishing tournaments for marlin, redfish, cobia, and plenty of inshore tournaments as well. He has a 20-year-old daughter that has fished many tournaments with him and won the Gulf Power Inshore Slam together one year in which he was the only captain to have a female and teen angler with him.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site may be available and included in price depending on your location and distance from the dock.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 20% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
