Hey everyone, my name is Josh and I’m strictly an inshore fishing guide.
Trout and redfish are not easy to catch, but are undoubtedly the most rewarding inshore species. They take some serious patience and angling skill, and that’s what im here for. I love sharing my knowledge and techniques on how to hunt for these fish. We can go after trophy trout or slot trout/redfish that we can keep for you to fry up.
This is not a boring bottom fishing or trolling trip. You will be actively casting.
The day on the water…
We will start all trips at 6am. My trips are a 6-hour minimum. If the fish are being difficult, I will gladly extend our time on the water to make sure we have a great day. I do not believe in rushing you back to the dock because our time is up. I enjoy being out on the water! We are here for memories and the experience so let’s make the best of it!
We will be in a 24-foot bay boat. I will provide all rods and tackle needed to fish from the boat with lures or bait. I will also provide ice, water, and bait for every trip. Snacks and any drinks other than water will be on the customer. Alcohol is certainly allowed.
I certainly do not mind taking a break from fishing and letting you enjoy the day however you'd like. Sightseeing, bird/dolphin watching, going to a restaurant on the water or sandbar, and having a drink is certainly not out of the ordinary. I'm all for a good time.
Due to safety precautions I do not allow children under 13 years old.
Book on Tue/Wed and we can go take a break to watch the Blue Angels practice shows.
Parking is $5 at the kiosk by the ramp.
No GoPros or lengthy recording allowed.

We had a great trip with Josh. We caught a good many trout and 1 nice red. My son was so happy as he had wanted to catch a red for awhile. Josh was super nice and helpful and even when the bite slowed down (we were doing a trip during the hottest part of July so I wasn't sure how active the fish would be) we had fun and were always active. We even had a blast catching the live bait which was usually better than what we catch from the pier or surf most of the time. My son and his friend said this was the best charter they had been on and they're tough to please being impatient teenagers:) I highly recommend Josh for your fishing guide and will look to book him again when we return next year.

Great Day Fishing

Had a great day on the water with Capt Josh. It is obvious he loves what he does and his passion to catch fish is contagious. The bite was off and on but Josh continued to find spots to give us chances to hook up. We took a little break and watched the Blue Angels which was awesome! Josh ended up staying out a couple hours past our scheduled time to make sure we caught more fish. We went home with some great memories and a cooler full of fresh fillets for dinner! Highly recommend Josh and Skunk Fishing! Highly recommend bay/inshore fishing over deep sea/outshore fishing! A lot more fishing and less “boat riding”. We will be back next summer and hope to get out on the water with Josh again!

This was the best fishing trip ever. Josh really knows the water and what he is doing he is definitely going to put you on some awesome fish!!! We caught many huge and beautiful trout and a one massive redfish. I will definitely book this trip next time around and also book a longer one. Josh definitely hasn’t going on it was an absolute blast and we were on fish the whole time. If you’re in the area you have to book a trip with Josh he really is an awesome guide.

We may not have been bringing in the fish as much but we had a wonderful time! Josh was very knowledgeable and tried everything he could to get us on the fish, we booked on a Wednesday and he knew exactly where to sit to see the Blue Angels Practice! That was a very notable part of our trip!
We would recommend Capitan Josh for anyone who wants the experience of being on the bay and doing some good fishing!
