This is not a typical bottom fishing or trolling trip. You’ll be actively casting for prized inshore species like Speckled Trout and Redfish, using proven techniques and local knowledge to maximize your chances of a great catch. Whether you’re looking for a trophy trout or a keeper-sized fish to bring home for dinner, Captain Josh will share his experience and passion for inshore fishing every step of the way.
Trips run for 6 hours and typically depart between 6 AM and 12 PM depending on weather and the best fishing conditions for the day. If the fish are being challenging, Captain Josh is happy to extend the trip to make sure you have the best possible experience. All rods, tackle, bait, ice, and water are provided, so just bring your favorite snacks, drinks, and sunscreen.
You’ll fish aboard a 24-foot bay boat built for inshore action. While fishing is the focus, there’s always time to enjoy the day your way, whether that means sightseeing, dolphin watching, bird watching, or stopping by a waterfront spot or sandbar. Book a Tuesday or Wednesday trip and you may even get the chance to take a break and watch the Blue Angels practice shows.
For safety reasons, children under 13 years old are not permitted on trips. Parking is available at the ramp kiosk for $5. Please note that GoPros and lengthy recording sessions are not allowed during the trip.

Josh was an exceptional guide on our recent fishing trip. We targeted large speckled trout and that's what we caught. Josh's boat is top notch and he has many years of experience and knowledge. Josh is the best! We had an amazing family fishing trip. The boat was very comfortable and extremely clean. Josh took us to several different spots and we caught 9 trout and 1 huge red fish. My 12 year old son wanted to go back out the next day. We highly recommend Skunk Fishing and would book with Josh the next time we are in Pensacola.

Water was choppy, winds out of the NE. Not idea conditions. Caught so many speckled trout we ran out of bait in the first 2 hours and had to go catch more. Captian Josh was great.
