Funthaisea Game Fishing invites you to explore the amazing aquatic opportunities Phuket has to offer. If you are a jigging enthusiast or a bottom fisherman, the crew has something interesting to offer.
Let them take you just 12 miles south of Phuket to Koh Racha. There, you will find two fantastic islands with a lot of fish, beautiful coral bays, and warm waters. Racha Yai and Racha Noi are the places to be if you are up to some fine angling.
Target Giant Trevally early in the summer by jigging south of Racha Noi. Go for King Mackerel, and Tuna anytime from November until April. Bottom fish for Snapper and Grouper. Go out in summer for Wahoo and Mahi Mahi.
Enjoy your day aboard one of our a 50’ fishing machines. She used to serve as a great vessel for commercial fishing in the past. All of our boats has been fully refurbished and has all the comfort you need for a day on the water.
A boats are equipped with a dining table, a toilet, beds, soft chairs, and a sun deck. She comes powered by a 285 HP Hino Diesel engine and can comfortably take up to six anglers.
All trips with Funthaisea Game Fishing come with top-quality gear and tackle by Shimano, Penn International, Rapala, and Marlin. You will also be provided with lunch, soft drinks, water, fruits, coffee, and tea. Snorkeling equipment is available on board in case you want to take a dip in those beautiful waters.

8 Hour Trip – Ko Racha Yai on February 6, 2026 • 5 adults
Our group (5 people) went out 1/6/26 and had an amazing time!
The fish were few, we caught 2 tunas and lost 2, not for the crew's lack of trying, they were hard at work trolling the whole trip. We did try bottom fishing for a bit, but they were not biting. Honestly, even if we didn't catch anything this trip would have still been worth it.
The crew prepared both tunas - sashimi style & grilled which was probably the most fresh & delicious tuna we have ever had. They also had plenty of refreshments, a cooler you can bring in your own beverages (we brought beer), and fresh fruit to snack on before a well prepared lunch.
We were able to snorkle and swim for a good period of time as well! We were able to see vast types of ocean fish snorkling, but watch out for the jellyfish!
10/10 trip all in all. Would highly recommend. The crew was fantastic, the boat was large & clean with plenty of different places to lounge in the sun or shade, views were nothing short of beautiful & you get a private boat trip for a very decent price. Make sure to tip the crew!

Communication absolutely spot on. We do a private charter every for last couple of years and by far the most organised, professional, hard working crew we have experienced yet. Finally found our go to team. They tailored our trip to suit us. Late departure to suit fishing we wanted to do. Hotel transfers spot on. Crew knowledgeable and friendly. Gear of great quality and in good condition. Highly recommend the private charter to suit your needs. Will be back next year!

from the initial booking, to directions to find the boat at the pier - everything was simple.
The boat was great and the captain/crew got some rods out we had 8 tuna. They prepared one for our lunch (which was amazing)
in the afternoon we stopped for a swim/snorkel before heading off to do some jigging. we orobably had around 20 fish of all different types.

The team on the boat were fantastic. Very accommodating and the food was great. We caught lots of fish including tuna, coral trout (my first), grouper, snapper, and several I had never seen before. 8 Hour Trip – Racha Noi on November 20, 2025 • 4 adults
Went on the 8 hour Racha Noi fishing trip, which was more a 10 hour trip. We went on the tour with pretty bad weather og far from the most optimal fishingweather. On the way out we had two smaller fish on, probably 2-3kg tunas, but unfortanately the fell off the hook very fast. Half way with still no fish we went for som bottom fishing at Racha Noi and caught a lot of very small reef-fish. On the way home we got a nice Barracuda. The crew worked very hard and did everything they could to help catch some big fish.
