NYC Sportfishing Charters
New York City is known for many things, but one thing that (non-anglers) overlook is the excellent fishing that’s available right off the coast. NYC Sportfishing Charters will take you to the hottest fishing spots near the Big Apple and help you take a bite out of the fish there!
The vessel used is a 25’ saltwater fisherman, manufactured by Parker in 2003. She’s powered by a 225 HP Yamaha engine, allowing her to develop up to 30 knots when cruising. She can carry up to 5 anglers fishing at the same time.
Captain Steve Cherry will be your assistant and instructor on this charter. He and his first mate are here to help you catch that dream fish. The techniques used are trolling, bottom fishing, as well as spinning, jigging, and popping with light tackle. The species you’ll target are varied, the main focus being on the beautiful Striped Bass that lives in the area. Other species are Flounder, Black Seabass, Cod, Bluefish, Tautog, Little Tunny, and anything else you run across.
There’s no minimum age policy for children on board the charter, all small vests are provided. Live bait is prepared before the trip and is included in the trip price. Pickup is available from New Jersey, while customers wishing to be picked up from New York will have to pay $100 extra.
