Wewere in great hands with Captain Mike. Our fish dinner was scrumptious!

Thank you, Lisa

thank you Gary, I enjoyed our trip

Captain Mike was great company all day. He is very friendly and knows his fishing. I had never worked a top water lure before, but first cast I had a speckled trout blow up on it. Caught an over-slot red drum first on the TW. Then we soaked some baits and caught some black tip sharks and a bluefish. We headed a little deeper into the swamps and worked our way through some oyster banks and landed a really nice keeper red drum. Ended up with four drum. Great dinner for the family.

Captain Michael Oppegaard comes from a fishing family. His grandparents owned a 'fish camp' on Lea Island (Old Topsail) before WWII so the family ties started before the island was even developed. Michael's grandfather expanded the Sound Pier only three years after he purchased it in 1963. The family ran it successfully for four decades. So saying that Michael grew up with a fishing pole in his hand would be an understatement!
