Spend the day with Pudd'nHead Charters and see what's biting in Hampstead!

Capt. Adam Child grew up in Southeastern NC and spends much of his time on the water. Much of this time is spent chasing Red Drum along the inshore waters of the Topsail Beach area. Flounder gigging trips are a lot of fun and are a unique way to see a lot of saltwater life under LED lights at night.

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites!

Your trip begins aboard a 21' NauticStar center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Pudd'nHead Charters!

Mr. Adam was professional and knowledgeable about fishing. Very nice and helpful 💯. Took my grandson first time on the boat. He was very helpful with him and showing him what to do. He is very honest person about the time when going out of you might not caught anything. but we wanted to go which we did caught some sharks. We had so much fun. I can't wait until the next time we go. I would recommend him to everyone. Thank you for your time and fun we had out there.

Awesome fishing trip!

Captain Adam was awesome. We went out on the evening trip with our 2 teenagers and we were not disappointed! Within minutes of the first cast, we had multiple fish on! Kids loved it, we loved that they we were happy. Captain Adam was knowledgeable and super friendly. We will definitely be back again next year!

Had a great trip fishing , I think my captain was more worried about us catching fish then we were. we caught red drum. That's so much.

    Father/Sons trip Adam was a great communicator and had a full set up for our day. we battled the wind a bit but he put us on some monsters. He knows the spots and manages the tidal impact well. We will be fishing with him again!

    I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I took my son ocean fishing for his first time and everything went better than expected. He was a little bit nervous at first, but Captain Adam eased his worries by patiently talking with him and reassuring him. Although our excursion was only two hours, we caught eight or nine red fish, a baby shark, and a flounder. Even better than the fish was the memory we made and the fish we had the next night!     I took my 13 year old son on this trip with Adam Child. Adam could not have been better. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely excited every time my son caught a fish. The water and the scenery are beautiful and you can get a great fishing experience without having to go off shore or break the bank. We will be back on the water with Adam next summer!

    The fish weren't jumping into the boat, but Captain Adam did everything in his power to put us on the fish, and we'll definitely be going back out with him. Adam's knowledge of the waterways and passion for the sport were clear. It was a great day with my boys and their friend, and one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen.
