Alaskan Adventure Guides - Sea Hunter
Alaskan Adventure Guides invites you to visit the 'Halibut Fishing Capital of the World.' Of course, there's more to Homer, Alaska, than just Halibut. Captain Corey can take you fishing for any species that calls these waters some, and you'll get to see some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way.
You will be fishing aboard a 32' Pro Apollo that comes with a pair of 300 HP Suzuki engines. It's equipped with all the necessary safety and navigation gear that you need for a safe trip. There's plenty of space on the boat for up to six people to fish in comfort, so you don't need to worry about being cramped.
While fishing in Homer is great anywhere you go, Captain Corey will take you to the best spots that are some 30-50 miles out. These include Chugach and Barren Islands, and you might go a bit further out if the weather calls for it. Species like Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish and Salmon are all there for you to catch. Corey himself likes to use jigs, and will be happy to show you how to do it yourself.
The price of any given trip will include all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you need for a good time. Make sure to have a valid Alaska fishing license with you, and feel free to bring drinks or snacks if you're feeling like it. After you're done, the crew will clean and fillet your catch so you don't have to.

The weather was trough- many boats went out and caught nothing that day. Jeremy got us out quick- caught our Halibut- and let us catch a few cod before heading back to beat the squall. Rachel was a fantastic first mate- personality and skill- we enjoyed her! plus she had mad filleting skills on choppy water! Top notch charter- next time just need better weather! 🤣

Our trip with Alaskan Adventure Guides on the Sea Hunter was one for the books. The weather threw everything at us — fog, wind, chop, and rain — but Captain Cory still put us right on the fish and got us our limit. That guy really knows his stuff. But honestly, the highlight for me was Rachel, the deckhand. She had everything dialed in — rods set up, lines baited, fish filleted like it was nothing. She knows her way around those Alaska waters. On top of all that, she kept everyone laughing with her fishing dad jokes, which might’ve been what really hooked me. Here’s one back at her “Why don’t fish play basketball? Because they’re afraid of the net.” Between Cory running the boat and Rachel keeping things fun, it was hands down one of the best fishing trips I’ve been on. I’ll definitely be booking with them again.
Thanks Ethan!
Captain Jeremy and deck hand Rachel went above and beyond to make this a true ultimate fishing trip! Captain Jeremy easily landed us in the best fishing places, catching halibut, rockfish, and salmon! Rachel was an expert at having all the fishing gear ready to go wasting absolutely zero time and catching the maximum amount of fish allowed. they even were able to squeeze in some orca viewing moments on top of it all! Truly fun time and best crew you will not be disappointed choosing this crew!
We had a blast! We cought or limit on halibut and rock fish. Even picked up some huge cod! captsin was fun and very personable. We would fish with him again.
Captain and deckhand did a great job of making sure we were all doing good and catching fish. Would definitely go out with them again!
