Man’s Fat Boy Charters invites you to join Captain Harold Mathes for a quality fishing and scalloping experience in St. Joseph Bay, right outside of Port Saint Joe. Harold has lived here his whole life and knows the local waters like the back of his hand. When you fish with Captain Harold, he’ll make sure the trip is tailored to your individual needs.
His boat is a 23’ Carolina Skiff that’s powered by a single 140 HP Suzuki engine. Skiffs are a great option for inshore fishing because of their ability to traverse shallow waters very easily. There’s plenty of room on the boat for up to six prospective anglers.
St. Joe’s fishery has a variety of options open for people interested in getting some good fishing done. You’ll be able to target fish species like Flounder, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Black Seabass, Tripletail, and plenty more besides. Man’s Fat Boy Charters offers both shorter and longer trips, in the morning and afternoon, so it’s pretty easy to find the slot that fits you like a glove.
The price of any given trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle, along with the necessary fishing licenses. Anything you catch will be cleaned and filleted for your convenience after the trip is over. Just make sure to bring a pair of polarized sunglasses, and you’re all set for a trip to remember.

Half Day Trip - Inshore (AM)
Awesome fishing trip!!!
It was a great trip. We caught a lot of fish and had a great time. We will definitely be booking another trip next time we are in the area. Our kids had a great time and they learned a lot I would highly recommend this trip. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Spent first couple hours of trip running from storms but Harold still got us on the Specs. We limited out within no time and threw back several more limits worth of keepers. Harold is very knowledgeable knew where the fish would be.

Great Captain
Took my semi interested 10 year old and myself out for a half day. Got on some Sheephead, Sea Trout, Pompano and black drum. Great time and Captain Mathes worked with my son the best he could to understand casting and setting the hook. It was a great day and I highly recommend you booking him if you get the opportunity!
