Flounder Fishing Report – Ocean City, NJ June 2026 Flounder fishing out of Ocean City has been pretty good lately, and we're having a blast out on the water! The summer season is shaping up nicely as the fish continue to move into the inshore waters and bays around the area. Clients are getting into fish and having a great time doing it, which is what it's all about. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned fluke hunter, now is a great time to get out there and bend a rod. Whether you like the quiet, calm waters of the back bays, or the adventure of open ocean, fishing is getting better. As the water warms and we head into summer the flounder bite is picking up. You need to put the work in, but with good technique and a little luck, you can put a solid catch together. The water out front on the reefs has been clear and blue. Flounder are already holding in their usual summer time haunts. There are also tog and sea bass (not in season) pulling on hooks. Triggerfish shouldn't be far off. And sharks have been popping up here and there. In the back the flounder are biting at different stages of the tide, and holding around various structure. So call to fet in on the action. Its only going to get better.

Where’s all the seabass? Were in the middle of seabass season and they are nowhere to be found. Hit 5 different seabass spots where we always found plenty of seabass. Nothing but a couple of shorts.

Good action out there with keeper size fish in the mix for most trips.

Started out with an east wind and incoming tide. Perfect fluke conditions in the bay. Then the wind switched to the southeast and blew up to 20 knots. That pretty much made the drift to 2 1/2 knots. Moved a couple times to find fishable conditions but not until the tide changed were we able to fish. Got into some fish but they were short biting and were just biting the spearing in half and would not commit.
